In order to check whether the AI is working on device or in the cloud, try turning off the internet and then performing the same AI task. If the result is same, that would mean that the AI is happening on device. If there is no result, or an error message appears, then you would understand that the AI is happening on the cloud. On cloud processing, is significantly less private.
