I'm getting comments that the company is fraudulent. I've done some checking. The company isn't fraudulent, but they are having issues with shipping. I've removed the purchase link, and I'll repost it when I hear that orders are being received again. It's unfortunate and a lot of companies are dealing with shipping issues. I do stand behind this vacuum mop, and really think it is well made and does a great job.
Best review of this robot yet. Congrats and thank you. You answered many unreplied questions I had and other reviewers did not adress. Only one thing I would loved to see is how it Can scrub dried Stains, because your floor looks already clean of Stains, and that dirty grey water looks more like dust it catched on a non vacuumed floor rather than actual sticky or dried dirt.
Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback. Yes, I do work hard to keep my floors clean, which is why I was so surprised how dirty the water was! I thought about putting honey down to test, but it wouldn't really be dry for the video and with Watson the pug on patrol, well food stuff doesn't stay on my floor long! I do suspect if something is lightly stuck to the floor, the spot cleaner would do well, but if it's really stuck as in you'd need a scrapper to get it up, then it probably would not pick that up. Any ideas how to get the mop to use water? Water tank is full, brush remains dry and the correct attatchment for dirty water is in. Cant get response from company and there are no suggestions from reddit or anything.

Im glad you liked the video! I'll pass on those suggestions although my communication with the company did seem to go through Google Translate. Super friendly and helpful but sometimes hard to understand. I'm not sure when it'll be available on Amazon, I keep checking too. 😊

I've been trying to reach out to seller regarding my purchase of one of these items you robot vacuum you reviewed. They took my payment, but no saying when I'll get it or being shipped to me. Great detailed review, best one yet on this robot. Do you just use plain water or can you use a solution type like the Bissell? I noticed you had area rugs, hiw did it do on those and were they soggy? Was there a fast map ability, as I have carpets in the living room and do not want this to mop the carpets? Again thanks for your review...
You're very welcome. I did show how you can set up no mop zones around area rugs or create other restricted zones. I did let the mop go on my rug to see how wet it got at one point off camera. It was slightly damp and nothing I'd worry about for the quality of my rug. The instructions were in Chinese for me, but I did try to use a translator. It said solution plus water without mentioning a specific one so I'm thinking solutions for any vacuum mop would work. I used Tineco brand since I own a Tineco wet dry mop too. I also ran the Smartmi with just water and was pleasantly surprised at how much dirt it still picked up. Hope this helps!
Hi! I have a tineco S3 review video up on the channel, so check it out. I really like both mops. I like the smart Mi because you can push a button and your floors get mostly clean. But with the tineco, since you are pushing it, you can move chairs, get in corners etc. But the convenience of the Smart Mi A1 is hard to beat. I think both do a really amazing job of actually cleaning the floors though. If you get the Smart Mi, you'll still have to occasionally go around and do edges and under chairs. If you get the Tineco you'll be physically mopping more often. I'm not familiar with the roborock dyad. I did have a roborock e4 mop at one point and did not like it, it just pushed dirt around. Living room + kitchen + parental room on same level 0 floor, with stone tile floor (no wood, just tiles with old school grout tile of 1cm large and between 2 to 5 mm deep). Second floor has kids room with vinyl floor. - 3 kids (6y/o, 7y/o, 15y/o) with the two youngest having ASD - A basset hound (our 4th "kid") aka "organic dual mopping system" (to be honest not the best mop ! BUT it cuddles much better than any robot) We have : a roomba 780 (old timer but still valiant and trustworthy), a roborock s5 max (not the best, but it was a great sales deal), a Tineco s3 and a Roborock Dyad (with which I have BIG issues, technically it is supposed to blow the S3 away BUT : I have it since June 2022 and it has already been returned twice and I am still waiting for it to be returned by the repair center ... Really cr*ppy material, not sturdy, not reliable, too much hassle to clean up/maintain, and Roborock has the lousiest support I have ever experienced, basically they could have NO support it would be the same, and at their price, it is scandalous, I urge people to avoid Roborock by all means, and especially in Europe where they do not even have a limited warranty) Ranting parenthesis put aside : I need to have clean floor for many reasons. My kids being always on the floor, sun orientation always highlighting our living room floor, and my personal OCD with dust/traces on the floor. I usually use the Roborock S5 "mopping" feature at night to refresh and have a clean floor when I wake up; but like all "mopping" robots, it just smears things with a microfiber. So this new robot with a real mopping system (and not just a "swiffer-like mop walker") is sort of a "FINALLY THEY DID IT" news :) Questions to ponder after using it for a while : Is this SmartMi A1 Vortex Wave a : - good cleaner ? With plain water ? With detergent ? (I use Bona detergent with my s3 and it works wonders on hard tile floor) - is it a pain to maintain/clean after usage ? (my S3 is cleaned everyday to get rid of fur/debris build up in the s3 head behind the mop roll) - does it have a good usage/charging ratio (can it clean 100 square meters every day , maybe even twice a day or is the charging too long for that ?) - how is support ? (because I have had an excellent experience with Tineco and with iRobot, while with Roborock it is hell and I honestly will never buy Roborock stuff in the future, and since Xiaomi and Roborock are the same group I was wondering if support (or lack of support) is the same)
@@CharlesGarrec so glad to help. I'll do my best to answer! The Smart Mi A1 Vortex Wave is a good cleaner. It does an amazing job with just water or cleaner added. I use the Tineco cleaner because that's what I had on hand. But I've also run it with just water and it's incredible how much dirt it picks up. Cleaning it is fairly easy, I'd say it's easier than the Tineco floor one S3. The container is easy to dump out. I know I mentioned how much floor it cleaned in one go in the video, I don't remember off the top of my head. If you used it in the morning it'd be ready to go again later that day, but I have not paid attention to exactly how long it takes to charge. I haven't had to use support, so I can't answer to that. The company sent me this unit for free to try and comment as I like, but I haven't had much contact with them other than that, but I didn't need to contact them either. Let me know if I can help further, I totally understand wanting all my questions answered and don't mind answering to the best of my ability.
Please, please, please....nobody attempt to buy this robot mop. Smartmi sent out several to reviewers and possibly a handful of backers on Indiegogo, but have left everyone else high and dry and simply refuse to communicate with anyone. I ended up having to co a chargeback. I was lucky because I was a late backer. But this has turned out to be a complete and utter scam. Amazing to think a company under Xiaomi have stooped this low.
That's really sad, I absolutely love mine. The product itself I can stand behind. My initial research into the company all looked good too. But I've reached out to them since this video and have not heard back from them.
