Because the video is blowing up outta no where! I figured I should mention to check out my stream! twitch.tv/inprisonedshadow currently 10 follows i twitch away from a subathon goal in September! Please help if you want :D I run this game a lot and you can expect to see it there! Thanks again for all the recent support! (This is now my most viewed video lol!)
Haven’t played much of Smash 64, but now I know that DK is the speed runner master in this game, thanks!! Also, what is that random music in the background?
Yeah DK is very good and easy to use for the speedrun! His strategies are consistent and work well for a run that has 3 classic mode runs. Although there are some faster characters like falcon, but are not as consistent. I don’t know the specific name of the songs, but The music in the background is from the lofi 24/7 channel!
Kinda makes me wonder if a run where you have to do targets and platforms with all characters, but from a fresh save so you also have to unlock them would be any fun.
@@TaycenTimothy I guess the closest thing to that specifically would be 100%/all unlocks. Nobody really runs that though because to do the sound test unlock, you have to do 100 vs matches and it’s just starting the match then quitting it lol
Don’t the targets during the regular play through count towards getting them all done? I thought they did but could easily be wrong because it’s been years since I played. If they did, wouldn’t it be faster to do one play of doing the targets with donkey Kong and then get L last and just not do his target practice?
@@joshuaalleman1755 yea they count. It depends on how you want to route it, like the run where you unlock everything (all unlocks), you do the bonuses during the classic runs. But here it doesn’t really save time since this run is shorter & luigi only shows up after you’ve beaten the last bonus, which wouldn’t happen during the classic run. Plus mistakes on the bonuses earlier on are much better to reset, rather than making it far into a run the messing up. Ever since I lost a really really good run to bonuses at the end of the run, I switch the route, and do the bonuses first. In a run where RNG is so heavy, doing little mini time savers like that, doesn’t really help out or do anything lol
@@thesaltmerchant4564 sadly you cannot turn off in game music on vanilla smash64, also since in this run starting on a new file, you don’t have any sound options either lol On remix you can tho
You can uncheck the audio track that plays your music in advanced audio settings for obs and it won't play on your recording or stream while you're listening to it
@@Glitchedd I do that now, or atleast a mix of that lol. (Now I won’t have music saved in the vods, but it would be active on stream.) I don’t always have music playing while doing runs, so this was kinda rare. Usually most people on my stream like the music playing, so it just kinda depends on the mood of the stream lol
@@TheJarlOfAhegao not so much, because then you’d have to play them in the classic mode, and only two of the very easy runs would be on the table for that. DK sweeps the classic modes because of consistency, although there are other characters that are faster like falcon and kirby, but that’s only in an optimal sense. So any time you would save from doin btt as kirby, could immediately be lost on the classic run itself
@@all-stargamer3333 That’s the point. He’s not supposed to be easy to unlock. Honestly, Jigglypuff is the only beginner friendly unlock. Requiring the bare minimum of beating the game once.
I'm guessing this is an unfortunate case of making a username when you were younger, not realizing "imprisoned" is spelled with an m, and it's too late to change now that you've established yourself on multiple places.
Can You Give Me Tips On Ness It's Getting Annoying I Need Tips And How You Did It So Easy I'm Not Really Good As DK But Very Cool Tho Nvm I Got Him With The Overpower LUIGI.
@@InprisonedShadow Dude Ness Was So Easy I Did It With Luigi I Hit Him A Little Bit Of Time's Then Did Luigi Fire Punch Attack If Your Next To Your Enemy Is Up+B Then Ness Was Like In The Background Flying Then I Beat Him In 46%??????? DUDE IM SO GLAD I DID IT ON FIRST TRY BECAUSE I HATE THOSE NORMAL CPUS It's Proof That Luigi Is So Overpower I Guess Ness Has Low Health
@@bambiboy1374 Yoshi is even easier with spamming B+Down. It's also easy with Yoshi to clear Very Hard with keep spamming B+Down because this Move was so OP on Smash 64.
