I'm sitting here looking at all the comments going after Sonix for playing as Sonic and meanwhile I genuinely feel bad for him. That SD basically crushed any chance he had of winning against Sparg0, who was gradually starting to play a bit spammy himself.
Villain? I think that was a typo. What you meant to write was "hero we all need giving the actual villain a taste of his own medicine." Spargo camping the ultimate camper...and SPARGO'S the villain? Ok sure bro whatever you say.
@@reductosmash2483 lmfao thank you these sonix simps are so annoying. they don't understand sonic's "full rushdown" is the equivalent of almost every other character's "camping @ssh0le." and sonix rarely even gets to full rushdown. sooooo boring. i'll only put up with a sonix match if he loses. not to mention, all these sonix simps calling optimal and ACTUALLY aggressive gameplay villainous because the mind-numbing camping of sonic is all they know just makes me chuckle
Sparg0 took any hope away from Sonix, crushed his spirit before the last stock. Sonix must have been so mad at himself that he didn't even try on last the last stock. That was the ultimate punishment and also humilliation for him, painful to watch but deserved.
Some random guy started mocking Sonix for camping, so Sparg0 started camping to shut'em up. When he won, this guy started yelling bad stuff to Sonix, that's why Sparg0 looked pissed off when he won...
Hell of a fight, not the funnest matchup to watch. But still, this one was hella impressive by both. The amount of technique and skill at this level is so fun to watch. Sonic is no demon for Spargo yet, hell of a win. Sonix has played amazingly as well

@@chunnisama6835 that was in 2020 and early 2021, now he plays a punish heavy but by no means time out style, do u expect sonic to just run into the face of swordies and trying not to get spaced somehow? he has to play more calm, just like spargo often plays more calm when leo had Arsene, to time out that, its just natural for a close range and lightweight character to have to play like this vs swordies, ofc in online tourneys he was annoying asf but that isnt really the case now
@@jj6148 nah man, aegis are definitely stronger and way easier to execute than sonic, theres a reason that basically noone else manages to get top placements with sonic, while many top players just picked up aegis for fun bcs they are meta sure sonic is good into cloud which is why he switched to aegis for this series but still, u cant disrespect sonix these days its really impressive how he can manage even the worse matchups since he wont pivot to another character for a counter

@@reductosmash2483 Can you please not leave braindead comments like this? If you’ve actually watched his sets, especially recently, reducing his gameplay to “camping” is really disingenuous. He’s got an insane talent in both defensive and offensive play and is most certainly one of the most patient players out there.

This set was so dope from Sparg0. Maybe Sparg0 has the best Aegis in the world? His could beat Sonix, but Shuton seemed to bet that his Aegis had a worse chance than his Olimar, which lost... so that's kind of an indicator maybe.
Im so happy that sonix got what we deserved in game 4. I've been a spargo fan from the beginning and that just made him probably my favorite smash player. #FuckSonix
