Adam opens the show with Mike Dawson sitting in for the news. They discuss how modern technology has somehow not put an end to “lore.” Then they cover stories that include a favorable ruling for Alec Baldwin in his fatal shooting lawsuit, Rob Reiner tweeting for Joe Biden to step down and new garbage cans for New York City.
Next, Adam is joined by members of the band Smash Mouth, Paul De Lisle & Zach Goode. They talk about KROQ being pivotal in helping the band break, the death of their former lead-singer, Steve Harwell, and their current tour & new singles.
Then, Dave Rubin returns to the show and they recap a star-studded dinner they attended last night, which included Adam splitting a potato with billionaire David Sacks. They also discuss Gavin Newsom’s ruining of California, Joe Biden’s obvious decline and the media’s tendency to lie about things Trump said, despite video evidence to the contrary. They wrap-up by discussing what the country could look like after the 2024 election if Trump wins.

I had no idea you guys are from my home town of San Jose. Hearing you bring up KSJO brings back memories of the 70s and 80's. Also 98.5 KOME was hugely popular in those days as well. I was born in San Jose hospital and grew up in the Campbell / Los Gatos area. Worked at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale for 20 years.

Producers, actors, etc have no business using their celebrity platform to broadcast and try to influence their political views upon the general populace. In fact it's unethical use of their platform and frankly grounds for Blacklisting.... forever.

Man back during my senior year of high school in 2007 I was jamming to Smash Mouth and Sugar Ray! I had bought their CD's and had them both on my IPOD. When I seen this I got excited and loved the time Adam had with them talking about music and the other bands of the time. I also enjoyed the time with Dave Rubin talking politics and the show as a whole.

I'm no fan of Baldwin but having a fully functional Firearm on a movie set is insane in itself. Having live ammo on a movie set is inconceivable. How could that even happen??? How does a "real" revolver loaded with live ammo find it's way onto a movie set???

@@larrylarry4242Several films have safely used live ammo on sets. Most notably Face/Off, Act of Valor and The Evil Dead. A functional firearm is needed to properly ignite the primer in blanks. Baldwin was not supposed to be pointing a gun at the camera, let alone actually shooting it, when the accident occurred.

What Adam gets so terribly wrong about Baldwin is that he wasn’t even supposed to be pointing a gun and shooting when he did. It’s the armorer’s job to make sure the guns are safe, it’s the actor’s job to use them when needed and under a supervised environment.

They need to schedule once a week a band/artist. The audience loves it, Adams has cred with them, and it's overall good pod. I remember when AFI was on, or the bass player from Twisted Sister, or the drummer of GnR, or Ted Nugent, or Silverspoon Pickups; the guy from Everclear, or Dexter from The Offspring, etc. More musicians need to be added to the mix of comedians, political pundits, and people on a book tour.

I saw all three movies when they came out in theatres. When a lights sabe came out, it was slow, and impactful. Everyone was excited and on edge. Now, not only does a lightsaber not cause instant death, but you can easily master it defeat trained master (Rey), You can get impailed and easily recover from it (super easy, barely an inconvenience), and use it as a flashlight. after proclaiming that if it is unleased, someone dies. It reminds me of every product bought by a conglometate,who then waters down the product, corners cut, uses the cheapest ingredients in order to give shareholders maxium short term value...only they screwed of shareholders, too! Their whole business model is a disaster.

The NYC garbage thing... that seems weird. We had bins for garbage and recycling in my building like 20 years ago, and it was a horrible place but it also wasn't a particularly nice building, so it had to be a normal thing (was in Manhattan, though... maybe was different in the other boroughs). I'm thinking this is more of a non-enforcement thing.

Muskrat in NYC? I'm no expert but I do know they are Aquatic animals. They primarily inhabit wetlands, areas in or near saline and freshwater wetlands, rivers, lakes, or ponds. I don't know what they are doing in NYC? The ones I've seen are living in the banks of creeks and are amazingly fast underwater swimmers. They can hold their breath for long periods almost like a freaking seal.

Smash Mouth was a decent band, but the decline started when the former lead singer trashed the bassist that wrote all the songs. Also lived a life rife with alcoholism and drug addiction. Not a great ending.

CNN suits instructed Tapper & Bash to be indifferent (both cant stand Trump, as most know) during the debate, as the flailing network attempts to move back to the center, politically (attract moderates) and hope to increase their tumbling ratings. Imo, they did a good job...disagree with Dave ("they shielded Biden") there....that's from a moderate republican (myself).
