Screw Harwell. He has not room to talk about who can or cannot sing. Smash Mouth has what, two(?) hits, and what, thanks to Shrek? Art is one of the nicest people I've met. He wrote me back personally on myspace and didn't wear his jacket for the rest of the tour because I oppose (new) leather. He let me dance on stage with him and signed some of my stuff. Great Guy, while Smashmouth only exists to make into memes.

Art is a gentleman now...not saying his past wasn't messed up, he would tell you it was himself. His oldest daughter is 25 and he has a very young daughter under 5, and they changed his life, especially after he beat addictions. I'd love to tell you why Harwell is upset, but might face a lawsuit. Just know this, Art is on the right path in his life. Mr. Harwell??????
That's hilarious, Steve Harwell. Did he say this before or after his recent on stage tantrum? Art Alexakis goes out of his way to do a clean show at a family-oriented show and Steve Harwell flips out with a ton of obscenities at THE TASTE OF FORT COLLINS! And while Art has lost some of his vocal range, at least he was once a very good singer and is still doing the best he can. Steve Harwell has always been a poor singer. Summerland is much better without Smash Mouth ever having been associated with it. If it would have been Sugar Ray and Smash Mouth on that first tour - how much more cliche could it have been? None, none more cliche.
