@@NURSEJAR I'm so nervous I haven't taken this test since 2009... I'm gone be sweating bullets and nails.. I have family in Gulfport well they are in laws but I consider them family.

Hi, Fresh & Sweet! Sorry to hear your frustrations. Unfortunately, the State cannot just pass out licenses. You have to, so to say, "prove" your competence. Test anxiety is a booger! You have to determine what works best for you to calm your nerves. During training, I tell my students to focus solely on what they are doing and to phase out whatever the NAE is doing or writing on his or her clipboard. I also test their anxiety levels during training, be being right on top of them as they are performing their skills. The more I do it, the lesser their anxiety becomes to the point where I'm invisible to them. I understand how annoying it becomes when you have people telling you to "relax". But, in all honesty, relaxing is only part of a key element that will help you succeed. The second part is figuring out what relaxes you. Because you have already taken the exam twice, you should be very familiar with the testing process. This gives you an upper hand to those who have never tested. If you are knowledgeable and harbor a solid understanding of the theory information and hands-on skills, coupled with your testing experience, this alone should heighten your chances of passing this go around. You may not want to hear this, but I am going to tell you--you have to stay positive and confident. You know what you are doing, now you just need to figure out "What makes you anxious doing it in front of someone (the NAE)?", and "What can you do to prevail over this obstacle?".

NURSE JAR online I passed my written but when i am in the classroom taking the test I froze up and then the answer just disappears out my head. Anyway I’m just going to pray on it and go again and hopefully things goes well. Thanks for responding back to me

Essence Morrow Don’t give up! We come this far to give up. Let’s just don’t think too much into it and just go one last time and do the best we can. I wish they didn’t give us no time frame when to finish the test. Maybe then we all could pass

Hi, Jazmin! Passing or failing the Skills Exam is not based on a percentage. Each individual skill is weighted differently. For the Written Knowledge Exam, you must score a 70% or higher.

The biggest tip I can give you regarding the written portion of the CEP, is to have a good sound understanding of theory information. -Read the questions thouroghly. -Do NOT overthink the question and answer choices. -Pay close attention to "exception" questions. -Try to prioritize answer choices if it seems like all choices are correct. -Do NOT spend too much time on any one question (45 - 60 seconds for each question) -If after 45 - 60 seconds, you are still unsure of which answer to select, put a tick mark by the question number on your answer sheet, and move on to the next question. -Review your bubble sheet to ensure you have answered all questions before turning in your test. -Do NOT change your answer unless you are 100% sure you chose the wrong answer and you are 100% sure of what the correct answer is. -Be very familiar with Residents Rights -Know normal ranges for vital signs -Be familiar with what the CNA can and cannot do (Scope of Practice) Hope this was helpful!
