I have a weird reason that Corrin is my preferred Fire Emblem character in Smash, the reason is because the way he carries a Sword and does those water powers (never mind his dragon powers) reminded me of my favorite pokémon Samurott. So Corrin is my second main in Smash
Also, the fact that she is the only FE character who can use her limbs instead of weapons and having an actually different main color pallet makes her the best FE character in Smash. The only thing I would change about her is her down B and turn it into an actual dragon attack, it being just a cool looking but generic counter isn't interesting at all.
Reduced landing lag is crazy, been using her since smash 4, and I dropped her around the middle of Ultimate for a year (shouldn't have listened to a Pika main on discord) and started using her again since around Sora's release, and because I got better, so did she and I even got far at my first local recently with her

I have played corrin since they debuted in Smash 4 and I have mained them along with Palutena, Zelda, Sephiroth, and Aegis. This guide along with many of your others are a tremendous help. It's also perfect timing since I have been watching corrin tech videos all day yesterday and last week. Thank you so much seriously, everything you do is so eloquently done and executed perfectly. So glad to see more corrin representation, people have just been sleep on the potential of the character. I love their versatility and options. I still do wish they hadn't nerf their ground and air speed. If they were a tad faster they'd have even more options. I also wish their recovery didn't feel so stiff when controlling the aerial drift. If it was similar to pits that would be fantastic! Thank you again for another amazing guide!🙌🏾💯🌟😊
Really glad to see this especially after corrin started doing really well lately courtesy of mkleo shadic and ly I was convinced the game would get extremely power crept and she would fall off so I’m glad to be proven wrong
I find corrin to be very fun. Certain things in their toolkit are harder to get used to than others; mastering the wierd angle and situation of pin goes from exceedingly frustrating to a heavy dopamine rush feeling move. I'm surprised but glad an Art Of was done for them. Even if you don't like swordies or don't know how, Corrin is a great investment to your character pool

To cancel the side B dash I believe the correct input is down instead of A (Attack) Can someone confirm as this was the only way I could cancel after multiple attempts with A. Thanks for the input.

*He. If you are not talking about more than one person, multiplicity does not apply. Corrin is a single being, male first, an avatar character. None of the FE avatars are female first, whereas Wii Fit Trainer is female first.
I assume Corrin is unpopular mainly for how a lot of people were into their side B and not much else, so when it was nerfed, people lost interest to the only tool that caught said interest. Which sucks because I love their playstyle, high range juggling game that makes them distinct in the roster.
I'm actually kind of glad that I never played Corrin in Smash4 and experienced how overpowered they were there. I love how this character feels and thanks to this video plan on revisiting them again, much to the dismay of my friend group lol
@@AricinGrey she wasn't even that op, I'm pretty sure most tier lists put her in B tier like around the top, idk why they nerfed her all around movement speed and pin, she was kinda fine tbh, pin doesn't connect as much anymore which sucks tbh since you skewer sometimes and it misses...... but I'm still playing dragon waifu and will hopefully try to get better in my state, my first local today I scored top 20 using only Corrin!!!

Place great emphasis on "DI away can ruin the combo/juggle". In particular, proper DI can prevent certain kill confirms from working, whether with DI in or away depending on the move.
I've been wanting this video for SO LONG and it's actually here! Corrin is still very underrated and people really do not give this character enough credit. I'm very impressed; this video is very well made and helpful. I've mained Corrin for almost 2 years and I can tell you've done a great job. Keep it up!

Fun fact: If you are a Fire Emblem character Main you are very flexible because they all require the Same fundamentals. So it is Not very hard for you to master Lucina If you are a Corrin Main for example. Imo, the Fire Emblem characters are the best for beginners because you have descent recoveries, you learn a Lot about punishing, spacing and about being patient.
“Decent recovery” I’m sure if someone was to only play fighters wielding swords they would have to get used to playing without them when trying other fighters… it might just leave them to play with disjointed fighters only, sure that’s still a pretty big selection to pick from, but it’s also gonna make it hard for them to get used to everyone.
I'm pleasantly surprised I showed up in some clips, however brief. Haven't mained them since S4, but I always knew they're a super insane and underrated character.

I been practicing slingshot with corrin I don't know if the down throw to slingshot up air is true because I don't have training mod but it looks kinda true lol
It’s kind of interesting how the corrin counter wasn’t really mentioned, is there a reason for this? Does it just not go well with the typical corrin playstyle?
Good thing seeing this after rewatching this 2 years later. Yeah you wont be using counter as corrin at any point almost all the time. The only use you would want with down b is in Ness MU against his recovery. Since Corrin counter sent vertically rather than horizontally (nerfed from smash 4 - corrin counter used to kill at 0%), its not as strong anymore. Against ness pk thunder tho, it will kill no matter what. Overall, you wont be using this in neutral at all, doesnt fit in with our playstyle except in very specific scenarios

How would you fast fall while doing a short hop with a Fair or Nair? Is it possible because I feel like pressing down to fast fall while trying to do the Fair or Nair would made me do a down air? I'm still a beginner when it comes to improving in smash

I always play Corrin by just walling them out with RAR Bairs, and an occasional surprise insta-pin. It works OK, and I my brain can't cope with all the wild swinging Fair/Nair/Uair combos. Plus, I am a Smash Sticker (Bowser Junior main), which makes the tilt-based tree combos harder. Also, that backhit of Down Smash is insane, and sends at a great low angle for off-stage edgeguarding with RAR Bair. Totally underrated move IMHO.
