Even more balanced twist: your handicap is equal to the points you're ahead of last place. So if you're 1 point ahead, you start with 10. 5 points is 50, 6 points you start at 80 etc. And this goes for everyone, not just the winner

They've done something similar before where one win = upping the starting percentage and the first to win while starting the match at 200% wins the video

maybe 2x the amount of points, cus those numbers are pretty low considering that the point difference is never going to get very high. also, is 6 points being 80 a typo or am i missing something?

My friends and I had a random tournament a little while back. The commentators/refs were aware of the random "victory criteria," but the players weren't. Like one game, the player who advances is the one who landed the most n-airs or took the highest % damage. If Little Z hosts another tournament, that might be a fun bracket to play through on the side.

Jordans ZSS completely destryoing Peters DK while mocking him the entire time was a lowkey show of force. I suspect that Jordan has two personalities: 1. The dorky on-screen personality where he plays smash for pure joy and does random bullshit (basically 1% Jordan) 2. The 100% Jordan where he goes full tournament mode and just rips you a new one.

15:25 Jordan had ledge, but only with Nana. Apparently Popo and Nana have separate ledge timers/factors. It looked like Popo had ledge because Nana had the white glow, and because he got up pretty much instantly. TLDR; The Sickter mistimed dair and died because of bullshit nobody knows about

Here's an idea based on what I thought the video would be judging by the title The goal is to lose, but not entirely. It's not just a jump in the void quickly. You fight normally UNTIL it's the final 2. However, second place is the winner. The moment it's a 1v1, whoever dies first wins. So if you edgeguarded someone, you can just not recover. Idk something about this makes me think it would actually be very fun and entertaining.

Poppt is 100% right, it's not a balancer. If your behind by 3 with 3 matches to go you'll have to win starting at 0 50 and 100%. It's like if in Mario cart you were in last place but it gave items based on who had the fastest last lap instead of current placement

I have an alternative way to improve this to the other comments. 1) Keep that the winner of the previous round starts at 50% 2) Add that the overall leader(s) of wins starts with an addition 50% The overall leader always starts at no lower than 50%. If they also won the last round, they start at 100%. If someone else won, there are two players starting at 50%. If multiple players are tied for the most wins, they each start with the minimal 50%.

I'm honestly pretty surprised you guys can and have played smash for this long. I'm pretty out of my smash phase since becoming an adult and finishing school, but I still like watching it because you guys are such great personalities. However, I hope this game doesn't end up burning you all out.

@@Traumachu It's just that what you said _at best_ kinda goes without saying and at worst could come across as overly negative. Like imagine going up to someone at a sports game and saying "man, I'm really surprised you're still so into this stuff and can still enjoy it. I really hope going to these games all the time doesn't end up burning you out." I imagine with most people, reading that kind of assessment is just gonna make them second guess their interest in the thing. I'm not accusing you of some heinous crime or anything, just pointing that out :)

What the rules should be is however many times you win, you multiply that by a designated percentage. That way, whoever is winning most starts off with the higher percentage hp. 20% or 30% added every win could be best because then after 7 wins, you’re starting with either 140% or 210% which could level the playing field and also lead to some funny final hit scenarios right at the start of the match.

What if, and this is just a suggestion. But what if the underdogs recorded these videos live with Sophie reading off chat suggestions and donations in between matches? Maybe for charity? It's a nugget of an idea to maybe spark something else or something better. Just throwing it out there.
