Today we are mixing it up and chasing some smallmouth bass in northern Wisconsin. Fall is a great time of year to chase trophy fish of all species. During the fall smallmouth group up in deep water and some of the largest fish of the year can be caught. In this video I talk about an effective way to catch these fish during the fall period. Smallmouth bass fishing is a ton of fun and there is plenty of time this fall to get out and catch some studs. Thanks for watching!

Nice! Love fishing for smallies on a spinning rod. Always a great fight. You should come up to Georgian Bay. We've got an excellent smallmouth fishery.

Great video. Thanks for letting us know your setup. Got me a Piscifun carbonx reel but the Elliot rods are all back ordered. So I did get 2,other 7’6’ Med light rods. Looking forward to getting them setup FISH ON! can’t wait for the next adventure. Don’t forget Surley also.

So many crappie guys say don't let crappies go if they are caught more than 30 feet as they wont live anyway. Does this apply to small mouth bass as well.

You seem to lip hook them pretty well, but thoughts on circles? I tend to deep hook on minnows and j hooks even which a fairly quick set.

Good stuff. Anyone got any good smallie lakes a little further south in WI? Hayward is a bit far for a day trip from St paul area. Other than mille lacs of course.
