that girl crying kind of got to me too, and I think i know why. imagine that smashing pumpkins are one of your favourite bands, and disarm is your favourite song. you've listened to this song throughout your teenage years, and it's helped you through some really tough times, or you listened to it during some really happy times. this song has been a big part of the soundtrack of your life, but you're resigned to the fact that you probably won't see it performed live ever again. then SP announces a reunion. you get tickets, and they open with this song. there he is, this guy that wrote a song that's so important to you, and he's singing it in front of you, and like a light switch, all those memories of listening to this song and the emotions of those moments all hit you at once. idk, it'd be pretty heavy. i get why she's crying.

I was at this concert. Disarm was the opening song (technically the instrumental Mellon Collie led into it), and I started crying just like that woman did. It’s good to know now that others felt the same way at the time.

At 40 years old at the beginning of this year and hearing this song many times before, I was at work when it came on my pandora. I literally listened to it for 4 days strait, quit my job, and then started my own business. I don't even know why it hit me so hard at that time but it literally changed the entire course of my life. Thank you for that!

If there was a scale that measured great songs, and astounding was towards the upper end of that scale, this song would be a thousand miles north of it. And this performance, unmeasurable.

I'm in rehab now. I've been taking drugs for 22 years, listening to this song and crying like a baby. What have I done with my life? People, never start use drugs!!!

I also have to cry ... what a message ... this song has so much depth ... you can feel it as a love song, as a political song, or in that sense of Billy as a song about a broken boy's childhood ... And in all cases, it's about responding with love to hatred and violence

Don't give a fuck ain't even up for debate. The ones who know know this is one of the best songs that ever came out of the 90's. Love seeing real talent perform. Even after all the trials and tribulations they went thru it's still being celebrated. 💯🙏

I had waited since i was 16 to see this band. When they opened with this song I cried at almost 40 years old the emotions of all those years escaped me and I couldn't believe I was finally there to see them live.

Nice to see, he still can sing this song with real feeling. In the most of live versions from last 15 years he looks, like he didn't remember what was he was singing about...

The absolute raw emotion of this song gets me for sure. I never fully understood it when I heard them in my early teenage years, but now I definitely do. At the end of the day, we are ALL broken in some way and it takes time to start the healing. Great song, great message, amazing performance.

this song resonates to me in a way bc i just feel nostalgic. mayb the true meaning is different i interpret it to myself after losing my mom last year when she got sick i pushed away all my sadness and put in a mental box and locked it. but i just started to thinkabout her alot and this song just makes me feel about my childhood and the good days but also my shaky house hold. alot of problems growing up that are just pent up in me .
