It depends on the type of armor of course. soft armor like kevlar, will NOT stop a knife or an arrow, would go right through it. there are soft armors that have trauma "plates" that will indeed stop a 2 handed plunge strike from a knife like it was nothing. Safe Life defense has an impressive video demonstrating how amazing their armor is, and one demonstration of a worse case scenario. the dummy was on its back, straddled, and the attacker is using a fighting bowie in a plunge grip and used both hands to with full power strikes and the armor just laughed at any attempt for the knife to penetrate. I have that same armor. its bloody amazing. Thank you Tod, i freaking love your content and your items...I have a few daggers and will be getting more.

General rule of thumb a while ago (I don't know if it is still the case). Assuming no plates or really heavy protection, bullet resistant vests are not good with pointy things, stab resistant vests are not good with bullets. It's why the police would wear vests more suited to the threats they were experiencing.

Sorry I have to take issue with you here. The description is of medium carbon steel which conventionally goes up to 0.7%, which was the standard for generations for swords and knives and I still use it and it still makes damn fine knives , but yes harder and tougher steels are out there, but certainly not completely useless
