Florida doesn’t have smelt , tiny fish 🐠 .. now the crawfish ( mudd bugs) are delicious! Enjoyed!

I've never had smelt... They let me out at night also and it's always fun watching them try to catch me & put me back inside!😂

Not much luck but a lot of fun. That’s what it’s all about. Spending time together outdoors. Gotta start the night or morning with a Timmies, although I hate the while lids. Can’t get used to those. Looks weird. #bringbackblacklids.

Memories........ I used to go smelting with my Dad as a kid back in the late 50s and early 60s. Used to roll them in a flour bath with some kind of seasoning mix that my Dad made. (Have no idea what it was) then pan fry them. DELICIOUS. I know my son went with his buddy and his buddies Dad back in the mid 80s when he was in grade school. But what from what they caught compared to the good old days when I went, the smelt numbers were dwindling down here in SE Wisconsin. I'm pretty sure they are gone down here and have been for decades. Maybe in mid-state somewhere they can be had yet. Anyways that's the last time I had them to eat was in the mid 80s. Thanks for stirring up a batch of old smelting memories of me and my Dad. Some of your episodes sure can trigger some great memories for me. Thanks and Take care my friend.

I’ve never heard of or smelt “smelt” before! I thought this video was going to be about smelly fish or fish that had noses and could actually smell. Jeez 3:30 - 4am is a keen time to head of for a fish mate. A shame you missed the run. Better luck next time. 😃👍🐟🐟🐟

Awesome! To be honest, I've never actually gone smelt fishing. We go minnow dipping once in awhile but at today's gas prices, buying minnows has now become cheaper unless we get like 10 dozen or something. But where's the fun in buying minnows! LOL!
