He destroyed Peach's Castle, drove SMG4 and One Shot Wren to insanity, gave the crew PTSD, trapped the crew inside his TV streaming service, and overall tried to cause suffering to everyone just to make a good TV show. I think what he got wasn't enough. SMG4 should've smashed up Mr. Puzzle's remains.
When they said "mario cant die" mario doesent even care about being dum. He's Serious when its spaghetti time man dodges rocket launchers and shocked the "used to be" #1 splatfest man
I suppose it was more of a cutscene than a boss fight. Or it doesn’t count as a boss fight because they couldn’t actually do anything to Mr. Puzzles during it.
yeah there was foreshadowing to mr. Puzzles alot (i.e martys fax from mr puzzles, the tv time theme on its gotta be perfect, wren getting the simulation from meggy
to be honest I have some notes: Only four main bosses is a little underwhelming, The fight against Wren takes way too long while the first boss is barely a boss, and while I dont mind the final boss having a supposed-to-lose fight and then later on an actual fight, storywise the final boss encounter could have gone better. but other than that they are good bosses, Mario's fight is surprisingly tricky and engaging, The final Final fight with Mr.Puzzles is a good test of your skills, and the boss themes used for both Mario's fight and the first Mr Puzzles fight are ABSOLUTE BANGERS. If we get a sequel, WHICH WE SHOULD, I hope we can get a fantastic boss selection
Honestly, I believe Mr. Puzzles's final confrontation could have been better. SMG4 and the cast get out too easily (I mean, the fake out getaway does seem a little anticlimactic and is not even glossed over)and the final fight with Mr. Puzzles is just... small, short, it's just attacking at a big guy. I think a much better fight could have directly been within Mr. Puzzles's head. Of course, his head, his rules, but imagine SMG4 logically guessing that this evil producer could be killed if they find a way out, while Mr. Puzzles attack them by literally repurposing his shows as means to kill them for good as he slowly loses the power to keep them behaving but still has enough control to hurt them into submission. And at the end, he realizes too late that his ratings went DOWN because of his radical solution and because he basically proved that he was holding his cast against their will (to show that great figures can easily go down with the power of controversies). When his ratings are low enough, SMG4 and his friends can find a way out and confront him where Mr. Puzzles essentially has no longer any power over them, and goes down just as easily. Edit: I just realized another reason why Mr. Puzzles is so underwhelming as a last boss. Most of the bosses, except for Waluigi, create some sort of lasting consequence as well as wronging one or many members of the cast in particular: Francis causes the death of Desti, and his defeat leaves Meggy as a human rather than an Inkling. SMG3 uses control over RU-vid to directly harm SMG4 to pursue his rivalry and even hired an entire crew to be rival to the other members of the cast and the final rap leaves Meggy with a human voice. SMG0 pretty much ties himself in with SMG4 and SMG3 in terms of lore and ends up causing the death of Axol. And Lawyer Kong is essentially the most, where not only he directly confronts SMG4 to the intellectual properties he uses, but his arc is the whole reason why SMG4 has a brand new design to begin with. Mr. Puzzles achieves none of that, he is only caring about SMG4 because it's the stupidest show he has ever seen, and it was only mentioned ONCE. Even the way he engages with Mario is pretty straightforward, and doesn't go in many directions. And once he is defeated, nobody talks about him ever again. An interesting solution could have been to have Mr. Puzzles at some point make Mario intelligent again as a desperate gambit to prevent him from tampering with his show (because SMG4 made him dumb), leaving the lasting consequence of Mario remaining intelligent for future episodes instead of him being moronic.
I also wish Mario got to fight Mr puzzles in the end as well But they always push him aside to let the other characters shine even tho Mario (somewhat) did all the work It was very disappointing, like Mr puzzles song and how he got off his own head and put a tv there Creepy but very good
@@MRBJW28 Heck, maybe his final fight could have been him having a special form that's just an amalgamation of all SMG4 villains so far. It could have shown that Mr. Puzzles under pressure is unable to cook up anything original and has to take from other intellectual properties (I mean, he kind of had that in the previous animations, where most of his shows where literally just pre-existing shows with an SMG4 makeover on the characters). It could even be his undoing with Lawyer Kong actually intervening to take him down for good, because of how many intellectual properties he has used just for his five stars.
Let’s play a game, who do you think wins in a fight?: crazy smg4 in the corrupt castle, one shot wren in the simulation, Marty, or Mr puzzles at 5 stars. (I mean like with the powers of them in these places)
Mr. Puzzles absolutely clears. Crazy SMG4 has literally no powers at all. One Shot Wren is only powerful in the simulation and Mr. Puzzles would definitely not be affected by the simulation considering he gave it to Wren. Marty is pretty powerful all things considered. He seems to be immune to everything. Mr. Puzzles even without 5 Stars is insanely strong so if he has 5 stars, he’ll absolutely destroy everyone else.
