SMG4 Theory: The SECRETS Of Puzzlevision 

Another episode got dropped off. It’s called “Once in SMG4” and the scene of the fairest contest when SMG3 is about to make the wish he says “I wanna get outta here” and then Mr. Puzzles pops off and says it was a “technical difficulty” do you think that he trapped SMG4 and his crew?

Yeah, I love the sense of mystery he exudes compared to the other arc/saga villains. We don't know where Winston came from, what his motives, are, what he's truly capable of, whether he was made by someone or not, and why he's targeting the crew. It honestly makes him creepier than the previous villains. At least ones like Francis, Lawyer Kong, Waluigi, and Niles had some context as to who they were and what their motives were. Winston on the other hand? We don't know anything about since he prefers to work from the shadows and corrupt people into carrying out his plans. Even his design is intriguing too since it perfectly captures the term 'uncanny valley'. Everything about him is so... off to put it in words. Winston's design just stands out heavily compared to the other characters. Most of the other SMG4 characters have colorful, complex anime looks full of life. Winston doesn't have any of those. His smoother cel shaded texture, deranged movements, simplistic humanoid body, minimalistic color scheme honestly make Winston look more like a character from Digital Circus or a 90s western cartoon (i.e. Ren and Stimpy or Cow and Chicken) in contrast to the other characters more anime inspired looks (I'd even Say Winston also looks more like a character taken straight from TADC or a Vivziepop show with his more simplistic yet uncanny body, deranged movements, and smoother cel shaded texture). I mean that in a good way because it creates a sense of mystery around him even more. You kinda get what I mean?

As much as I like Winston, I kinda hope that aside from a multiple choice past he gives, we never learn anything else about him (Winston would even admit that the backstories he gives are probably false). After defeating him, the crew would be left with so many questions such as "what made him become evil" or "what were his motives to begin with" to create a sense of fear in that this would be the first villain that they know or learn barely anything about. Sometimes, I think not giving a villain a clear motive or backstory makes them 100 times more terrifying than if you did. I do have an interesting theory that Winston is perhaps the actually greater scope villain of the series. He was the one who corrupted Niles into Eldritch Zero, hired Francis to kidnap Meggy, Told SMG3 about the RU-vid remote, and gave Lawyer Kong the idea of building the firewall. This would make him more interesting as we know he basically would be the cause of everything yet we still wouldn't know how or why. Him being the TRUE greater scope villain would be the only thing we'd learn with everything else being a mystery to make him that much more scary. I even have a theory that Winston's TV humanoid form isn't his true form, but rather a disguise for something much *MUCH* worse than the SMG4 crew and viewers could imagine.

My guess is that Winston is the true evil of the series and is basically causing all this stuff just for the shits and giggles. There was no reason for him to first destroy their castle and send Wren to have them undergo a fate worse than death.

​@@creeperplayz5742 Another creepy part is how Puzzlevision acts when we see him at the end of WOTFI 2023. Rather than having a breakdown, he says it was a good show before saying he can't wait to do it again sometime. Think about it, he could've had Wren murder the crew or even unalive SMG4 back in IGTBP, but he hasn't done that yet. It gives off the same feeling as a wild predator choosing to toy with its prey rather than going for the kill. It knows it can kill the prey right away, but decides to instead fill its victim's last few moments with pure psychological terror just to make the kill even more fun. That's the vibe Puzzlevision gives me. He could have killed the crew countless times before in season 13, yet he hasn't decided to kill them. He knows that the crew aren't aware of him and he uses that to his advantage. Puzzlevision clearly wants to fill the crew's moments with pure psychological terror because what would be the fun in just killing them? Unlike the previous villains, Puzzlevision clearly lives for the thrills because he wants to make sure the crew have experienced full terror. He's patient and knows that he could kill the crew any minute, but is waiting for the right moment to make their last moments filled with psychological horror because he's that evil.

My theory that he had a kids show had was canceled because of some sorta incident

Random, but does Puzzlevision's design stand out? Most of the other SMG4 characters have more colorful animesque designs, something Puzzlevision doesn't have. Puzzlevision has a more simplistic humanoid body, a color scheme of muted colors, deranged movements, and a unique cel shaded texture to his model. It honestly makes him look more like a character from Ren and Stimpy, Invader Zim, or even the Amazing Digital Circus. I mean that in a good way because it gives him a sense of mystery and unease.

Interesting theory! I do think though that this whole SMG4 Puzzlevision trilogy will come to an end really soon, just by knowing that it is almost a year since IGBP happened (March 19), so I think there will be a final movie around that time to FINALLY wrap things up. Stay tuned for the next episode of SMG4 on the 3rd, then brace yourself for a special March 10th episode! (I think)
