@@lulolie she wasn't trying to speak it. She was trying to sing, and inherently spoke it. But You're right in that it's inaccurate to say she doesn't understand parseltongue. She just doesn't know she does. The comment just meant they found it amusing that she spoke it without understanding what she was saying.

@@TheDeadlyMango the whole gyst of the Hufflepuff house is that they're underestimated and misrepresented. They're aren't spineless people who only want peace, they take the actions they need to only when necessary. They're kind but their whole thing is being the last defense because of the strength they have that is not represented (element of surprise). So yes she is

To be fair that's exactly how I treated my painful thoughts through a strong depression. I just got so tired at some point that I said out loud:"Would you shut up and let me sleep for once?!? You can torment me tomorrow!" Sadly it didn't work and I again only fell asleep through exhaustion but eh worth a try.
@@Kino_Cartoon same but I used ear plugs and weirdly it worked for me. I used to hear crying (I'd check on everyone in the house. Everyone was fine. Or muffled yelling. Again everything was calm) ear plugs worked on my weird brain.
@@slibra9442 yeah I got used to sleep with headphones when I had a loud neighbor and was traveling but you can't block out harmful thoughts that twist every thought you have into an insult of the person you are, what you have done and haven't done and what others think of you. My depressives episodes are temporary so I just have to endure them until they are over again. Afterwards I feel so detached from my past thoughts and see them as the exaggerations and twisted versions that they are but... While I'm in that phase.. i can put energy into fighting it and fighting for happiness or at least a normal day, but this drains me extremely and I don't recover that energy during that time so it just gets worse and worse the long it goes. I'm currently trying to heal it and got a new medicine that hopefully works this time. It's hard to tell when those phases are so random. I had breaks of up to 7 months so I never know if something works or not before I've taken it for a year or so. But ey I'm working on it and Im feeling great currently so I just hope for the best. That scene just reminded me of my purely exhausted self, mentally and emotionally being tortured to sleep... Watching videos and videogames help tuning out the thoughts for a while but the issue is that it hinders me to concentrate on my studies so it sadly sabotages my life pretty greatly a d it's so frustrating that there is little that I can do immediately. Anyway thank you for thinking of me and I hope you find some good rest :3
