@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Sandra would you consider doing some directions on the passing and leading tones that Joe Pass did especially when he accompanied Ella Fitzgerald? He knew how to leave just the right amount of space for her yet kept the continuity of the swing never missing beat. Amazing! I tried watching some of his videos but his explanations are way over my head. I also watch videos with Vilray with Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive when they play small venues. I like him because he uses many types of guitars and she has that great phrasing but I get lost whenever I try to figure it out. Stay well and please, please, please never stop the lessons, especially those short snippets. I find them very motivational and just enough to work on in the moment. Best regards. Bob 😄🎶

I'm not sure what you mean by "passing and leading tones that Joe Pass did". His lead guitar soloing? Or are we talking his chordal work?

Sandra thank you so much for teaching all those jazz standards I love. I just saw your video about why you use the Deluxe Mini DC. So, I ordered one from Sweetwater in the US.and they are doing a Plek pro set up on it. Could you let me know what kind and gauge strings you prefer on the guitar and how you would describe your preferred action? From your lessons etc. I notice that you seem to use a light touch and still get nice clean notes and tone with no fret buzzing. I do not play professionally and at 78 years old really enjoy learning music. I've been through many very high-end semi and hollow jazz guitars and now just want one "Swiss army knife" guitar. I just got tired changing from different size nuts widths, string gauges, necks, etc., etc., and also carrying around boat anchors. Thank you so much for all the time you dedicate making your excellent videos and for providing concise well explained fretboard and theory information. Best wishes Bob😅

Great choice, Bob! I hope you used my Sweetawater affiliate link from rhe info box 😊. I use gauge 11 strings on this one for a lughter tozch. Usually I pmay 12s. String brand is Thomastik Bebop.

Wow, I had no idea, that Charlie Chaplin wrote that song. I never knew he was a musician actually. Or is that a different Charlie Chaplin - or am I just dumb, lol

Yes, it's THE Charlie Chaplin (actor). He also wrote some music.
