Eu acho que essas criaturas são a representação das crianças que sofriam experimentos na Playtime.Elas provavelmente sofriam tanto com os experimentos, assim não conseguiam dormir e agoniadas sem poder descansar, então os cientistas usavam o Catnap para as crianças terem momentos de paz e também realizar as experiências de forma indolor, por isso elas amavam tanto o Catnap e tratavam o gás como uma droga viciante. Algo bem cruel e triste pra falar a verdade.

If you tear away the layers that make the cat a scary cultist manipulator, it is nothing more than a sad joke of a dug dipping sandman that can only get others to follow it because of the gas it's letting out. The only disturbing part is how the gas affects others and how they want it, even after suffering its effects afterward.

I mean, it's kinda obvious from the blood-red smoke coming outta their god dang mouth. and the critters laughing like psychos till they pass out from the smoke, sleeping while smiling and eyes gaped which makes them seem VERY dead.
