This has gotta be the best guide I’ve found. The way you explained everything wasn’t condescending or confusing. You explained even the “common sense” stuff (which is only common sense if you’ve played a game like this before) and did it perfectly. Thank you so much!!
Bro this guy deserves a whole box of cake for how he explains the game best way to play and best gods. Not a fan of dropping likes on yt comments but this guy just deserves it. ❤❤❤
Thanks for the video, as someone who's gaming experience maxed out at fifa 96 and just wanted a game to recover from work without staring into space and being braindead I am like 'what the hell'.
The fact that it's called the VGS system is the absolute best. In Tribes Ascend (made by the same devs) pressing v, then g, then s leads to your character swearing
New player here, thanks for the tips on which gods to select too. That was really helpful as I had assumed that most gods would have bene evened out, but seems not as such.
@@greginacastle i’ve been trying this game couple of times and I keep on deleting it I don’t know why, but it feels too much and the items like what the items in paladins was easy af in smite it’s like would you like this? Would you like that? Bs
@@greginacastle that would be ideal honestly! I’ve tried a few soo far but I just feel like my rotations aren’t awesome and I maybe picking fights at the wrong time, but it’s all in the learning process, but I’ll keep checking your channel for a video like for sure, it would be a massive help!
I used to play FOREVER ago it seems and I mastered Ra, just now finding out he's not beginner friendly and now the hard time I had makes sense.. I just love him sm LOL
I don't quite remember what mastering a god means anymore but I know I have him as my highest ranked god and that it was all because I spent a CRAP ton of time playing him. I do think it was high tho.
I played League of Legends for many years and now got a PS5 and tried Smite.... I failed so hard^^ Thanks to your video, I will give this game a second chance xD
Great video! Only one thing i totally disagree with - Susano. He is not beginner-friendly, u have to master his combos, understand animation cancelling and how to manage movement potential. IMHO - Ravana is by far the easiest one. He has a straightforward abilities with simple hitboxes, ultimate escape button, and ult allowing simple tactics.
Instead of susano I would say ravana, ratatoskr, and fenrir are the easiest to learn jungle. Ravana is very safe and does a lot of damage and helps you avoid damage with his 2. Rat if you build the orange acorn allows you to hit your 3 super easy and gets you familar with global ults. And fenrir introduces you to how passives work, as well as bad players at low levels just run away from fights and aegis at wrong times so you can easily get a full fenrir 3 off before they aegis.
I played Smite and LoL over a decade ago and I loved both games. I've been thinking about getting back into Smite, but I am incredibly rusty. 😅 This video is so helpful in reviewing the basics, as well as figuring out where I went wrong back then. Great job!
If been playing smite in December and I'll be honest I got it because back then the Transformers battle pass was around(and I got everything despite rn only being rank 23) but seeing this video helps me understand a bit more on what I should do more and focus on, thank you so much man!
Im lvl 28 and i havent played for ages and its like playing for the first time. Its a bit embarrassing but I hope the smite community will be nice to me xD This video was very helpful, thanks ♥️
I'm familiar with MOBA, I've been playing since DotA days in Warcraft and was very interested with the concept of 3rd person MOBA. This is probably one of the best guides I've found
I picked up this game when i was 8 on xbox because i was into gods at the time and seemed cool af. Never understood it but i definitely had fun with the gamemodes and didnt really experience toxicity unlike other games (league *cough cough*). I forgot about it overtime sinced I switched to Desktop PC but i saw it on steam and want to finally understand it :) this game literally was a big part of my childhood hopefully it aint doodoo
Great video it still holds up well today the only thing I disagree with is cupid is not good for new players hes just kinda weak ontop people tunel on his healing and die for it if they are alone I mostly play support and have seen it way to much
Metas come and go sadly, at least cupid remains simple for the player themselves. I will definitely remake this for smite 2 though with some updated info! Thanks for the support
i started this game since release but no SEA server but i love this game so i keep playing until i stop in 2016 since its so hard to play with high ping, i think ill try playing again.
I tried league of legends and the whole click to move thing wasn't for me. Is smite the best/only 3rd person MOBA and most popular? I love the MOBA concept and think I'd like this game a lot.
Your god suggestions are way off. For a noob the first thing to do is have fun and not get messed with passive and team mechanics. IMO Guardians: Ganesh and cerb Mage: Posideon and Kuku Assassin:Aracahne or bastet Hunter: Izanami or Anhur Warrior: Gilgamesh or Hercules All these gods are easy to play for beginners and have self learning aspect built in them.
I think the most important tip would be - Get ready to suck...A LOT Smite is the game that has been around for quite a while now, so new players will automatically be placed in position of catching up. And it's often not easy, especially considering the fact, that most MOBA communities are toxic as hell.
Never played the game. I like assassin's on every game. Is Susano really a good choice for someone who play the game for the first time? On the god description it difficulty is hard, and there are other gods that says the difficulty is easy. Or is the in game description inaccurate?
I have been playing Smite for years and I did not knw that's what the diamonds beside the God pictures were for. Heck most times I dont even notice it lol
I found out Shiva was in the game, and as an Indian I now have to master this Indian god and become the best indian in the game 🤣 Never heard of this game before but recently started it.
i am sorry but u cannot ask a noob to start out with susano. He is arguably one of the toughest god in game with his AA cancel. Baster or loki even pele is a good starter
@@greginacastle I know I watched the whole video but it doesn't tell which characters for someone who is new to moba games I kept dieing because the character they made me play was do hard in my opinion I try to tell my team that I am new and that I just download the game but they did not answer I just wanted someone that is easy to play and easy to learn Until I'm ready to branch out and try other champions I like mages but I think they would be to hard for me to learn as a beginner maybe a tank or a support would be that best for a new player like me this is my first mboa game ever
@@greginacastle Yeah it rough out here when you win the public vote twice by the largest margin in history only to get kicked out by your own party. They did me dirty like Bernie. Haven't tried those two other game modes, I'll ask my mate about it; as well as asking him to smurf cuz yeah we have *one* experienced player.
@@greginacastle Look, if we got one or even 3 people who were experienced (which seems to be 2k+ hours for this game) it'd probably be a semi-fair matchup; so I'll see if I can get the others into giving it a shot with a smurf and see how that goes. Not like we an practice base mechanics any other way because arena has 1 hour matchmaking times and hard difficulty bots headbutt my Cliodhna ult :/ Thanks for the advice homie
This game is so toxic at times. Tou have a bad day some people just trash tslk then discourage from playing. I was playing support without a carry and they kept calling me noob. Even though i was getting 2v1 at the tower
Good info but there is simply too much to this game for new players.... way to many heros and items and the upgrade item system made 0 sense I uninstalled after 2 games
I might revisit this for 2024, but generally it holds up. Hirez have added some unique mechanics here and there, but nothing a new player needs to be too worried about ^^
how do you tech someone how to fight? like quick actions and decision making, knowing not yo turn around and run but instead jump back with an ability ect
That is one of the things that has to be worked on sadly. If they have played other games try to draw comparisons, but if they aren't a gamer be patient as they learn their limits.
tip#2 got down no problem, when game 1st dropped had a friend tell me about it and i got hooked pretty quick and starter shoes each class were nice btw so i got the gods pack and its totally worth the $30 to never have to sit on char screen with chars can't use. So i can always play a random god...btw has anyone been having issues on pc since last update week or 2 ago? My screen just minimizes randomly in game and didnt have any issues of any kind until recently on pc...switch was a buggy mess and disconnected lot but this just minimizing in game 3 or 4 times match on pc really been weird.
