I’ve carried/shot a J Frame for over 50 yrs but never experienced the problems you outlined here. My hands are XLG so I found a grip that covers the backstrap and sanded down the bottom to almost boot-grip size so they’re perfect for me. The great thing about these guns is the vast grip & holster choice in the market to make it work for you. My EDC is either a 442 Pro or 340PD in a pocket holster.
What year is your 36 ? I hope you don't give up on her I have a 1965 m 36 perfect condition. It was gifted to me from and old friend she pick it up brand new in 1964 in Hawaii it sat in her closet fo fifty some odd yrs . The gun is now 59 yrs old maybe been shot twice insane rt anyway good review look forward to your next
Unfortunately, I don't know the history of this one because I picked it up in an auction. Based on the serial number and features it was made in 1977 or 1978. I love it, but just don't trust it as a daily carry.
