Smiths grove grew 1.65% from 2020 to 2024. In that time it added 59 people which may not seem like much. When you see a city that has had 700 people for decades seeing it break 800 people is interesting.
Buc ee’s will bring 200 high paying jobs to this city and will be by far the largest employer. The city should focus on how to handle the growth and possibly Smiths Grove could hit 1,000 people by 2030.
With the abundance of affordable land, tourist and job attractions, I-65 runs through it, I think you will see a nice small suburb. Homes and apartments would probably lean more higher end.
