🟢 Bought my first house in 2014...it had a pool. Getting home from the races, stripping down to the buff and jumping in was exhilarating! It really does depend on the night tho. Camping in the infield, SDW, turn 3 at the moody mile...you would begin to understand levels of acceptance for what level of dirty was ok to pass out in. The early 5am drunk shower was simply maintenance. The long hot shower once I got home was absolutely otherworldly! 🏁🏁
2 aspects stood out in this vlog: 1) The #1 car is absolutely beautiful and B) The track was very rough in spots. Thank you for sharing with us another interesting night at the races even though y'all were the event's street stocks!!
Awesome video Mandee! If I’m getting home at 3am. It’s a full shower and off to work. But if it’s and early night that I can sleep. It’s a face wash and bed. Then full shower when I get up.
When I was helping a friend with his micro at Airport in the 90's, depending on how late the night was, late night was a quick shower or if I got home relaively early, that meant before midnight, it was get down to the undies and jump in the pool. No matter what, had to wash off the clay dust to be able to sleep.
Love the look of the car and yes first race on it can be fast or just trying to make it work with the new set up good job thanks Mandee from Minnesota 💞😎
I shower after the race and sometimes if im really dirty i take my clothes off before getting in my car i keep as clean as i can and that clay is a pain in the u know what to get out....
So nice to see the #1 rap, always a fan favorite. We know the team will get things fixed and will soon be back in victory lane. Stay safe and happy motoring.
Well i myself don't care what time it is when i get home from the track im in the shower. Now when i was a little kid i was the same in bed in what i had as half the time id fall asleep on the way home. Gorgeous looking Race Car, no wonder they got a oil leak with those horrible ruts. Thank you for the Video and look forward to the next one Mandee. Much appreciated, Be Well
Probably not planned, but that face on the front of the hood scoop at 3:17 is pretty funny. They didn't have time to fix the corners before putting the Mods out there?! Is that why the leader broke?
I'm fortunate enough that I live 2 hours from 5 tracks within 2 hours in driving distance. That said, it depends on how late the tracks wants to be late. --If it's Port Royal, it's a guarantee they'll be at the earliest 11pm. No --If it's at a place like Selinsgrove Speedway, where they have gotten done by 11pm at the latest this season, absolutely, I'll take a shower after the races!
So I like to shower if I can though sometimes if I catch a race on the road it's not an option. Also interesting story on the topic. Idr if you guys came down for the STSS show at Cherokee speedway in like Feb or March of 22 but I went to that show and it was chilly and misty all day but not cold. So I went home and took a shower to warm up as much as anything and in doing so I found this hard lump in my abdomen. Went to the doc and determined I had a hernia caused by the appendicitis surgery I had a few months before over Xmas in Connecticut on my way to Maine
Would rather full shower , but should carry wet ones in the car to at least wipe off , back in 1986 a buddy and I went to Weedsport for the 200 at the end of the year. On the way home I got stopped in Greene , Ny 75 miles from the track for a headlight out , when the trooper came to the window , he was shocked how dirty we were , at first he thought we were the area car part thieves, he gave us a hard time but luckily we got it thru his head we were at a dirt track race , had the ticket stubs and programs to prove it.
Showering is a must.... Going to bed feeling dirty and waking up feeling dirty always leads to a bad day for me... Iv got this super bad ass super nice bad ass 5k bed with 200 dollar pillows and 200 sheets ( I'd like to keep it nice and clean )- it may sound over the top and well over priced but if you slept in it ( you would understand 😂)
The announcer makes me think of Flemington. Now that was a dirty track. We sat in turn 4. And would get a dirt bath, all nite. Would sleep on the floor at my Aunt & Uncle’s house.
First off if it's 3 am when I get home from the track, I am most definitely not going to work the next day. but always a shower if it's a wind in the face night. Gotta clean them ears out too. Shower than turn on Flo and see what's on there before bed.
absolutely - Susquehanna is what I will always call it. BAPS just sounds dumb and I have never been a fan of tracks or stadiums with corporate names. I like a name that tells you where the track is.
But after every race what I would do is probably most likely if I got super dirty that’s because it’s an asphalt track I would probably just a do what I Gotta do and drink a lot of tonic water and water and Gatorade and I go in and then if I’m wearing shorts, just go to bed with that is it really doesn’t matter
Go to sleep in the hauller at work with the same clothes on....put my boots on before I fall asleep.... Have a coworker Pound on the window to get me up, Mondayand Friday tenth time I did that this year season is over for me now broke the motor
Mandy, after every race, what I would do is just the strip right down to like only the top shirt and work where my underwear to bed that’s it and I don’t know either in the winter or in the summer that’s what I would do
depending if I were a spectator or a wrench turner Wrench turner always wash ( GEAR oil is thought to remove the smell) one off-topic comment Mandy your blog has an unexpected event. Thursday the 17 The wife had a late Dr Apt. We stoped at the Sterling Dinner on rt100/78/22 in Foglesville A woman walked by and sat at a table to my Left. cI never forget face and said to my Wife " do you know her ? I not sure but I sure do recognize her . she then walked to the font door area and then back again. This reaffirmed I do recognize her but from WHERE ? Just then your Dad walked in and past me and BANG go your mother the person behind the scene and in many of your blogs got up and told her Mandy has made her famous ? and said to your Dad been many a year but At Nazerith back in the day Tex Enright walked by and said " You'll never guess who just pulled in ? Roy Pouch's KID Billy . Also commented on the EPIC night at Action Track three generations . thanks for the memories
Car looks awesome! But the track? Absolute crap in three and four. And not so good in one and two ether. How do you put one year on a car in one night? “BAPS”
