At the Tennessean in The Drawing Room, the hotel’s Concierge Level lounge and bar which features Knoxville’s largest selection of Tennessee Small Batch Whiskey, Bartender Ian Mahaffy prepares his signature Smoked Old Fashioned
I liked your video. I have a polyscience smoking gun and I use it for a lot of foods mostly. The glass box for infusing cocktails is a great idea, reminds me of a magic trick...😁 really cool, I have to try it. The tender is showing us a recipie for us to enjoy for pete sake. For those who don't like it and complain ,move on and leave your comments to yourself.
You could never use this in a bar. Cig smoking in a bar is against the law. You start using that thing every few mins and someone will complain. They always do.
Not at a nice whiskey bar. If you go to any true whiskey bar you expect the aromas of wood, smoke (burning wood, not cigarettes), liquor, and cigars (depending on where you're at it may not be allowed).
You know, you use of Angel's Envy is a great idea for an Old Fashioned. I usually stay away from O.F. cocktails because they are, at the end of the day, just a super sweet drink (ie. the bourbon with the hit of simply syrup) and a few dashes of bitters. But if you use an AE which has a ton of flavor because of the port casks in which they sit, you're getting an extra layer of flavor that a more basic bourbon wouldn't have. Throw on top of it the smoke and now I'm going to give this cocktail concoction a try in the ol' smoking box! Great video!
