I’m 75 years old and recently discovered your channel. You are a delight! You have taught me a great deal and I am eternally grateful. Have a blessed holiday season. I look forward to your videos for 2019.
my goodness Lisa ever since I started watching you almost 8 years ago now I think... you have changed completely the way I do and FEEL about make up.... so glamorous yet so effortless. The other day I went out on a date and my date asked me why does my make up always looks so amazing but yet natural compared to a lot of modern trends and I said, I learned from Lisa Eldridge. Thank you Lisa. I think I never post on your channel but this look.... I am in love. Big hugs from Canada :)))
Yes, you're so right. I hate the highlighter seen from the moon look. It looks hideous and the contouring that's so over the top. It's such a fake childlike application look to me. It makes these women look harsh.. They hate a highlighter that doesn't look like tin foil on their faces. Crazy to me...
I love how you don’t tell us to run out and buy stuff, or that we ‘need’ certain products because it’s such a turn off and shows how disconnected some RU-vidrs are from their viewers. You really are the best, Lisa xx
I thought the same thing. How refreshing not to be 'sold' something in every video. (I consider her lipstick sales to be the complete opposite of what other YT'ers do as it was completely up front and not just another collaboration)
1) I don't know by what sorcery Lisa is growing more beautiful with age, but it's undeniable 2) your skills are insane, this "basic" bronze smoky eye is something everyone's done before but this one is unique; alluring and mysterious rather than boring or overworked 3) Lisa is just the sweetest also,
Kiki Lerer you never get the feeling that her looks are not wearable for the everyday, down-to-earth woman. She is a real make-up artist who works on others instead of someone who creates „artsy“ looks for themselves (which is also fine in my opinion).
No matter what look you do, you always make me feel excited about makeup again!! You add such magic and class to the process- it makes me so excited to do my makeup for the day! Thank you for being such a lovely person on RU-vid :)
There will only be one, Troy Surratt said “Only imitated never duplicated “- this woman makes me strive to be a better person - There’s only one word - and it’s LOVE - Happy Holidays Lisa.
Love that Lisa always encourages you to look through your own makeup to find products instead of saying that you should buy this and that. 💕💕💕 Thank you for being one of the best makeup artists on here!!!
This video is just absolutely beautiful. Lisa is so gentle with the makeup and with her face. It doesn’t look like she is actually doing any effort, instead it looks like she is just doing some caress on the skin. And her makeup is slowly, tenderly and magically showing on her face. I also love how she pays attention to tiny details that actually makes a huge difference. I think her technique is the best. I wish I could be one of her models. Love you Lisa ❤️
I watch your channel for years, and I will go on...actually, I learned English with your videos (not only yours, of course), you have a lovely voice and authentic, very polished British accent. We just talked about you today with me stylist in Kyiv, discussed your lipsticks and your book, it was nice. I was lucky to get one of your lipsticks, and I’m wearing it every day))) wish you all the best in 2019
I’ve never commented before, but I just have to say, I’m a 54 Asian woman and LOVE your videos..they have taught me great tips and tricks even for my hooded Asian eyes and maturing face. Thanks, Lisa!!
me: worshiping how smooth and blended the base colour looks. Lisa: "obviously this is not blended in yet"... OK, if I could blend my eyeshadow just up to your un-blended level, I'd be a happy camper! :***
Gorgeous without and without makeup! Thank you for providing us all with a safe, happy place to indulge our love of makeup. There's never any drama and negativity here, just pure joy and love for a shared passion. Wishing you and your family a safe and happy festive season. Much love. xx
How relaxing you are Lisa & I also love that you aren’t too loyal to premium products, using products more affordable for people who are to a budget.Hope you had a fab time 🤗💐
But it’s a disgrace when these people buy out the limited stock just for the sole purpose of reselling. When there are others who wanted that for themselves. I understand business and supply and demand but this is just unscrupulous.
I've seen every single one of your videos since you began RU-vid. Some of my favorites I've watched multiple times. Thank you. For staying chic, timeless and carefree. Happy Holidays!
The lipsticks being sold on EBay/Amazon could very well be counterfeit, not just grey-market. Not worth risking your health. Please be aware everyone 😘💋 xXx
Agreed. I was thinking counterfeit too! Or made with poor or poisonous ingredients. People will try anything to cash in! DON'T BUY THEM! WAIT FOR LISA'S OFFICIAL RELEASE!!!
God I’m glad to see a makeup tutorial that’s not super exaggerated with the heavy contouring and the IG eyebrows and all those super heavy makeup trends that I’ve been seeing.... I’ve never been much to wear makeup but this I feel would look amazing for a night out. Love love love. Can’t wait to try it out.
Dear, Lisa, your smokey eyes tutorials are my inspiration to create and adapt my own smokey eyes. they're classic glam yet beautiful, nothing too much. Can I drop my request here to do make over with Southeast Asian guest especially Malay ethnic? Thank you
Sadly, she doesn’t usually do tanned/brown/black skin creations or looks (tho I would imagine she does have “access” to these skin_typed models). Maybe next year! And maybe I’ll re-subscribe once that happens…? :)
@@essalinas2944 based on her real makeup portfolio, she does lots of skin types but not on her channel. Probably because she's a very busy working artist in real life (she's not that type of RU-vidr that uploads video regularly). Also there was footage of her about she's keep finding volunteers from every race that willing to show their bare faces in this clear camera and I admit it's quite hard because another artist like Jordan Liberty have shared the same thoughts, no one really wants to be the model of makeup tutorial videos and showing bare face in HD setting. If she wants to hire a model from any agency, that's not quite easy to do because there are lots of procedures according to the rules of the agency that needs to be followed. But I really hope she finds brave volunteers to do another tutorials.
AAAAHHH... I've never actually had an obsession with a RU-vidr before. I GET IT NOW! I could watch you do makeup all day, it's dangerous. I totally need to be getting more work done. I'm so glad you have a channel!
Hi from the Philippines Lisa! I just discovered you a week ago. Thank God! Im an actor/ TV commercial model/ jazz, bossa nova & musical theater singer/ scriptwriter/ producer. My profession as a singer/ actor forced me to learn about "technique". I have to know how to put on my own make up lest I spend heaps at a salon. Being dolled up by make up artists for stage, film & TV ads has given me some education plus Vogue & my "Bobbi Brown" make up book. I'm a lipstick addict & cant have enough of it. LANCOME was my first make up-- eye & lips. Doing my big eyes has always been cumbersome. I'm intimidated & wary. After all these years putting make up, it was only last year after I did my TV commercial (I was a corporate boss) that I bought myself a set of brushes! Silly me. I've been using Q-tips & my hands. Brushes & sponges really make blending more professional. Your videos give me TONS of ideas on how to create new glam, theatrical & casual looks for myself. Your tutorials are awesome. Love the way you do the eyes especially plus your focus on the skin. Your tips on using the highlighter is what I've been looking for! All's the rage w/ super glittery faces & Anastasia highlighter nowadays-- the "Korean" & Beyonce look. Your style is so much more sleek, classy-- & wearable. You are GORGEOUS my dear! You must have been a model too. You're inspiring me to try a variety of looks w/ your tips & videos! BRAVA! You're so talented & beautiful! Thanks for helping us stay-- & become more beautiful! More power to you!
Dear Lisa Could you do series of how to do eyeshadow for beginners include different shapes of eyes? Because I find it difficult to shape my eyes, where to start or end regarding to inhance my eye shape . I have droopy deep set eyes with a little bit hood. Love from Denmark
Wayne Goss has some great videos about hooded eyes, and Lisa does have a mature hooded eyes makeup tutorial that you might find helpful as well! :) Basically going a little higher and more outwards with the eyeshadow than non-hooded eyes do, and doing some blendable soft brown or dark eyeshadows in the eyelid crease with a nice shimmery cream color on the center of the eyelid after that. That can help!
Every time you put the photos in the end of the video. Every time I get amazed at your amazing Make-up. Merry Christmas to u, Lisa. Thank you for doing all those tutorials.
Merry Christmas Lisa from Canada 🇨🇦! Thank you for all your professional makeup tutorials! Have been a subscriber since 2010 and I'm still hooked❤️I'm hitting the big 50 this year and thanks to you I've been able to adapt my skin care and makeup application appropriately for my ageing skin. I do have to say thanks to you my skin has never looked better and I always get compliments on my makeup. Looking forward to at least another 10 years of watching your makeup tutorials 😄🙏🏼Can't do it without you! Love you so much 😘and Happy New year to you and your family 🤗😘
Please please bring your lipsticks back, I'm devastated I missed out on them... I put aside money for the whole set and hoping you will bring the set back, too. Also, I wanted to thank you once again for your tutorials. I discovered your chanel several years ago and only at 32 years of age I began to look like a human: I mastered my eyeliner and eyeshadow blending techniques to the point I could probably do it with my eyes closed)) Thank you, again, and have a Wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
Lisa, one of the things I really enjoy about your channel is that you do these looks on other people and yourself. It shows such artistry and flexibility. It's all about the art and technique. I love that you share what you use (from a variety of lines and costs) and throw in " any black liner will do", taking off any pressure to buy a certain item. My favorite channel, bar none! From Canada to England....I wish you and your family a joyful & relaxing Christmas!
"well trained" of course Lisa, we've been following you for years! Have a wonderful time. Wishing you and yours a Merry and Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year! 🌹❤️xoxo
Hi I am so lucky I received my lipsticks then. I have not worn them yet as they look so pretty. I am waiting for X-mas; until then I am just admiring them haha!!!
Merry Christmas Lisa! I know it’s early, but I hope you’ll have a good time with family & friends. Thank you for always being real, elegant, fantastic and wonderful 🌻 I know I’ve been slacking off not watching some of your makeup videos, but most definitely the first thing I’ll watch when I actually get a date sometime in the future 😂😂♥️♥️
Lisa I absolutely love all of your videos and learn so much from watching!!! They are just splendid and such a joy!! Would it be possible to get a video of you doing your whole getting ready routine, from bare faced through skin care and hair to makeup????
I have been watching your channel for so many years now, and I still feel like I learn something new everytime I watch another one of your videos! Happy Holidays!
Another brilliant one. Great end to the year and once more a million thanks for sharing your invaluable expertise. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Xxx
This to me, is the power of makeup. I didn't like this look for the first half of the video and suddenly it all came together 💄Thank you for teaching, educating and beautifying your audience with absolutely the minimal of fuss 💗Blessed New Year
So beautiful! I think I could pull this off, even though my eyes are pretty much the opposite of yours. I have low brows and huge eyelids (not bulging as they're rather deep-set) and my eyes are hooding with age. I have to be really careful not to go too far with anything: too dark, too light, too glittery--all will make my lids stand out too much. I've learned to cope pretty well, but I keep hoping I'll see you put makeup on someone with my eyelids. I'd love to see what you would do. I'm thrilled you are planning a re-release of your lipsticks! Happy holidays!!!
Meg Collins Hello Meg, I have the same issue with the lids. She actually does have a vid as you requested already. Try and search for it. Also the Christian Dior shades have just enough shine and it doesn’t highlight the creases of the lid. A more mat shade is better for us gals. I use the nice sparkly shiny shades on the more taut skin of the eye s such is the brow bone under the eyebrow. Make sure you shape your brows well before. I also find that good eyeliner defines the eyes better and draws attention away from the lid. This is just my experience with my problematic lids, all learned from Lisa. Good luck.
Angella S. Thanks. I’ve watched every single video Lisa has posted and not found what I’m looking for, so maybe I’m not communicating the issue well. 😊 I have found what works for me pretty well, but I would love to have Lisa do my makeup! Who wouldn’t? One of my favorite techniques is a fairly thick, smudgy line on the upper lash line. It helps minimize the lid space and draws attention to the lashes. That said, it’s a challenge every day. It’s easy to find videos on hooded eyes but extremely hard to find one on large eyelids.
It's amazing the fact that you thought of those who didn't get your lipsticks and thus you didn't do a red lip in this tutorial... I didn't manage to get your lipsticks nevertheless I wouldn't mind at all seeing them in this video.. but thank you for your kind thoughts! Merry Xmas!!! ;-)
Lisa you do more, you share how to care about our skin, how to do makeup not a mask, how to look naturally beautiful in the age of masking who you really like. Thank you ❤️
You are such an inspiration to me. You are the best makeup artist I have watched yet on RU-vid. The way you apply, the way you describe, the colors you use and just your whole way about the way you do videos is fantastic. I hope to see lots more tutorials in 2019. Love your work. Have a blessed and merry christmas, Lisa.
Keeping my fingers crosses that your lipsticks will be available after I finish basic so I can get my hands on them! They are beautiful and thank you for the update!
The fact Lisa is more concerned over her customers paying more for her products than for personal or professional gain is a testament to the class, honesty, and integrity she possesses. Even the quiet, calm manner in which she spoke when she had every right to rail on those unscrupulous sellers on EBay is further proof. Every young beauty guru/MUA (hell, anyone!) would do well by looking to Lisa if they are serious about their long term success.
No drama, no selling out, no product plugging (like another British make up artist who's name we shall not speak) and everything classily and expertly applied. People, I give you Lisa Eldridge.
Lisa - I used to work in e-commerce and we sold some really in demand collectible items. We put an order cap per customer. So no more than 2 per order for example and a cap per address. If anyone wanted to order more than that we had a special wholesale email address for them to reach out to.
I pre-ordered Velvet Jazz as soon as it was possible to do so. I just wanted to tell you that as well as loving the colour, and the feel of it (it is so comfortable to wear), I also love the versatility of the colour. What surprised me more than anything else was how long wearing it was. I adore lipstick; it is my favourite make-up item, but this lasted longer than any lipstick (including long-wearing) I own AND wore off nicely. Staggeringly good job Lisa! Well done.
You are the only person I subscribe too on YT that does makeup, simply because you are not pushing products to buy in every video. I use Mineral Fusion products only, and I can create this look easily!
Love this look. Absolutely beautiful. I am so appreciative of your willingness to teach us and share your expertise. I learn so much from your videos. Have a lovely holiday season
Lisa Eldridge you are absolutely beautiful inside and out 🌹I adore watching your videos - I’ve always been interested in make up ever since was a I was a little girl and I would sit, mesmerised, as my two older sisters did their make up to perfection. Your videos are so natural and relaxing. I have a particularly stressful job/life and watching you share your magical talent with us is incredible. As for this particular video - I can’t wait to try it out! Thank you - you are a beautiful soul x
I absolutely LOVE going back and watching these older videos! Even ones from years ago, because your looks are classic and beautiful! Even when you do something more trendy, you make it so wearable for us amateur makeup artists! Looking forward to more in 2020!
Dearest Lisa, First of all I love you! You are the true representation of classy and glamorous. Thank you so much for all the training and love that you share. Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy New Year. Lots of love, Sal.
Watching this video in 4K, on a 60” tv and let me tell you: Lisa is flawless! 💜 I love all your videos Lisa; I learn so much and it’s amazing to watch a real artist and not the same exaggerated IG and RU-vid makeup.
