+jimipurple123 Duh, that ship has sailed...into his cocaine nightmares...he's over that now, but Motown is long gone...and none their artist had ANY respect for the band members...
I'm a fan of ALL of THE MIRACLES.. not just Smokey . Y'all TOO YOUNG to REMEMBER the MIRACLES ?? WhatsamatterU? (These Gen X, Gen Y and Millennials ...!!! All they know is "SMOKEY SMOKEY SMOKEY!!")
My oldest daughter bought tickets to see him for the first time last night here in San Antonio. I brought tears to my eyes. Brought back memories of hearing him for the first time in 66. was in 1st grade and my uncle had just returned from Nam. He always played Smokey and the Temptations. I fell in love with his music then. I went to it throughout my life time during many of my trials and tribulations. Here I am at 56 but I finally saw my idol. I wish he knew what happiness he's brought. I got my oldest hooked on him and other Motown greats. As we were driving home I asked her to expose his music to my 4 yr old grandson when he grows up.
I bought tickets to see him with my momma also in Louisiana about 2 years ago. It was one of my favorite concerts I’ve seen. Smokey definitely still has it!
God Bless You! Raising Chidren and Passing on Beauty to Them is What Life is All About. You've Made Them Richer and the Wolrd a Better Place For That! It's No Small Thing. It's Everything!🎹🎙🎶 🧠🙏
Im 28 years old, and i stumbled across my dads smokey and the miracles best of cd at 15 when we moved one day. This group is the anthem of my heart and always will be

I was a teen in the 60’s. My god what a time to be alive. Oh the music!! We had no idea what we had. How I wish to have those days of peace and unity back again.
You just can’t choose one favorite Smokey song. There’s too many masterpieces in his songbook. The greatest songwriter of my life. Thank God for this man and all he’s given us.
No he's not one of the greatest pop song writers, he's the greatest song writer poet ever. At 83 years old he's still writing new music and performing.
+Campbell042 first thing that pops in to my mind. Always sing some movie songs when I am drunk to my wife :D while the "actors" in the movie were stoned LOL
I will always love these old videos of the gentlemen in suits doing their dance. Voices that will never be replicated. If only these modern singers had a fraction of the talent and presence.
Pure class. The moves, the song, Smokey and the Miracles. It doesn't get any better. I remember seeing them on TV and it was pure magic. These are artists in the finest sense of the words. Wish these young people now days would stop and look at this and all of the other great performances. They don't depend on computer magic, just talent.
WRONG. He said it about SMOKEY. It's a well- known, documented, historical FACT. BUT, SMOKEY didn't write this song ALONE. It was written by 3 of The MIRACLES, SMOKEY, PETE MOORE , and MARV TARPLIN .
I remember late 80’s this song being re-released It was constantly played in my folks pub. In south London. Was incredible and we loved it…, 32/33 ish years later (I’m 49) I see Smokey Robinson in last few months on an American chat show! Looking incredible! Time and the concept of time, is bizarre. He’s my parents age. But popped up on screen the other week, looking 30 years younger!
the guy who came to put the records in said I could put my own records in...all he wants is the 25 cents...Tracks of my Tears was one of the songs I first put in the juke ...Friday nite people were asking " Man where did the songs come from???"...music can make the Magic happen. .I know it sounds naive..but this simple act of being able to put my own songs in our sportscaster gave me my first glimpse of POWER..I WAS 18...I AM 62 NOW..and I know have The Power and Wisdom of life...but it all started with this song...I can still setheje faces and hear thej enthusiasm of my friends reaction to this Magic moment...SHAZAAM!

I'm 73 too and listened as a teenager in germany. Radio Luxembourg over MW and had a wire connected to the radio wich sometimes went ggiioooggiooo 😀 Smokey has been a wonderful musician (motown of its best !) Love to see him now - and still openes my heart 🎼🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
I just love this song! Everything about it, the lyrics, the guitar opening, the whole thing! It is magnificent and like someone said previously - Smokey is so handsome in this video! It's a true classic and nothing can or will come close to touching it EVER
I just found a new favorite artist. And that is very hard to find these days(21st century). THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally a song with real lyrics I can actually understand or even want to listen to. My god I'm old as dirt.
My favorite Motown group and when I was fourteen a friend and I went to our usual Friday night dance at the Walled Lake Casino near Detroit. I had no idea 12 yr old Stevie Wonder would be there singing his hit Fingertips, he was so great and then low and behold they announced Smokey Robinson and the Miracles were going to perform next. I about died! Smokey was my dreamboat idol. The white suits and the music, it was magic. First song, Shop Around. What a night. I still love them at 72.

I've seen Smokey a few times in concert (I live near Detroit). He's still great and sounds the same, a great showman and person. I know every one of his songs. My daughter and I were singing along to him, and he was watching us....at Pine Knob. Great time. We had Motown....so glad I lived in the 60's....a great time to be alive.
CORRECT !! There would be NO MOTOWN without THE MIRACLES . Then were would the Temps, Tops, Supremes Jackson 5, Marvin , Stevie, Marvelettes , Vandellas , and all the others have been ? It all started with THE MIRACLES !!
