Wow, I saw him Singing Shop Around on the Same Telecast. Thanks so much for finding it. This Song was actually inspired by Sam Cooke's "Bring It All Home To Me". Marv Tarplin was overall the "6th Miracle". Although he worked with Smokey he wasn't an actual Group Member. He actually worked with The Pre Supremes Group The Primettes and when Diana Ross (Smokey's Former Neighbor) cajoled him into getting an audition with Motown, he was "their" Guitar Player. He left them to work with Smokey Co Wrote alot of Hits and worked his way up to being his Musical Director. Also The Show as you know is from "Where The Action Is". I recognize The Dancers. They "Danced" in Back of so many artists from Aretha Franklin (Smokey's Childhood Buddy), Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and Marvin Gaye amongst others.

Good vocalist, he makes sure he doesn't go flat, even when the reeds are. The composition is so excellent a lot of work obviously went into it and who would want to waste it....

While Smokey modeled the song after Sam Cooke and Lou Rawls on Bring It On Home To Me, Smokey is the sole composer. Sam Cooke did not write it.

Dick Clark introduces them simply as *THE MIRACLES.* Their name should have NEVER been changed. WHY? 1) It gave later fans the MISTAKEN IMPRESSION that SMOKEY was a SOLO artist, and the REST of the Miracles were just BACKUPS for HIM. (totally UNTRUE...They were ALL Miracles...including SMOKEY) 2) EVERYBODY ALREADY KNEW who the lead singer of The Miracles was, anyway. Why broadcast it?

The names of the Miracles are correct and Claudette Robinson is one of the Miracles, she's Smokeys former wife beautiful woman.
