This is the most green and luscious drive in the park. It is also historical just like Cades Cove. You used to be able to get a brochure with the names of the families that lived in the cabins. These families also has some of the names for some of the buildings and highlights in Gatinburg and Pigeon Forge. And who could pass up pancake houses with pancakes and other breakfast items. Yum. Yum. It is a beautiful video. Thanks for the ride. I loved it.
Thank you, Yankeeinthesouth, for the reviews on things to see and do in Tennessee. I will definitely put Nashville, Pigeon forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville on my list of must sees. Smokey's pancake house, including a few other family style restaurants you mentioned are on my list, for when my sis and I visit. I would like to see some more mom and pop, down home southern family style restaurants in the area, if you know of any. Log Cabin Pancake House in Gatlinburg has the best atmosphere of any restaurant in the Smokies! I love their breakfast- the BEST biscuits and gravy with country ham- they even serve an amazing lunch!!! I’ve been going there my entire life, for as long as I can remember. I’d love to see y’all make a vlog of it. :) I love Roaring Fork motor trail too. Thanks for the great videos! Keep it up. 😊

I really can’t express how much I appreciated this video! I would’ve loved to do something like this when we were just there. Definitely marking it on our musts for next time! I didn’t know they had a gift shop too! All the waterfalls, streams, historic cabins, the deer.. man! That’s the best trail in my opinion!

Love this video!! My husband and I went to grotto falls a few years before getting married. We made the mistake of parking in the rainbow falls lot and hiking. It was the hardest hike of my life. All up hill everything looked the same seemed like we were going in circles. When we finally got to grotto it was so beautiful. But that was a day after going to mingo falls. Both waterfalls uniquely beautiful. Thanks for the video!!
that breakfast looked really good but i'm a plain pancake and scrambled egg's and bacon girl..i love the cute decor in the diner, so many options...i love how downtown Gatlinburg look's ❤..that scenery is beautiful but that road is a little to scary for me..Will you are so knowledgeable..i can watch y'all all day!!!
I like the restaurant and I love the drive thru roaring fork. The restaurant was ok. Do they serve lunch and dinner, too? It sort of cute. The part of the drive was wonderful. All of the waterfalls that you can see from your car was great. The one part I loved was the “family” of butterflies. That was awesome. There were about 6 or 7 butterflies and they didn’t seem scared of people filming them. The road was good, as all of the national park takes great care of the road. All in all, the whole video was fantastic. 🙂😉
Hi Will and Dawn ! 👋 I just subscribe to your channel. I enjoy it very much. I traveled about 7 years ago with my dearest friend Jane to Pigeon Forge to visit her family. She used to live in North Carolina. When I went back with her she showed me the Great Smokey Mountains and other Beautiful areas that cover this Majestic lands. I would love to go back someday ! 😍 I live in Spokane, Washington where Jane and I live now. We have Beautiful Mountains here also but are different in comparison. But all absolutely beautiful ! I'm so glad some parts are wheelchair accessible as I am disabled and have to use one. Even so, hubby and I love to go exploring as much as possible. I went to Smoky Pancakes Cabin last time I was in town and it was delicious. I had the Reese’s pancakes as well and I agree that was a sugary meal for breakfast lol
Thank you for doing all these videos. We live in Georgia but love that area. We visit whenever we can. By seeing your videos we are able to zero in on places to see and things to do. Also, during fires and floods there we were able to see if the area was ok and made it through. Hello from Georgia!

Place of a thousand drips, hardly any water one yr, my daughter was at the cave entrance and a large male bear came over the mountain walked past her and came down to the road where me and other tourists were watching him. I barely got in the car, my daughter slowly came down to jump in the car. We have a video on my page, its like he was leading us all away out of his territory. Scary but amazing experience..don't ever want it yo happen again!!!
You need to try out Log Cabin Pancake House of Gatlingburg. You turn left at light 8. They also had the same menu at this location where you eat in this video when it was called Log Cabin Restaurant. My family has been eating at their restaurant for the last 20 years and we think they're the best overall for breakfast. They only have the one location in Gatlingburg now. Sure would love to meet you guys. We love watching your videos.

I'm like you, Will, I don't think I care for those type of pancakes at breakfast. I like bacon and eggs and maybe a little pancake with it. I love the shop at the end of the trail. I like when they have the crafted there working. Mist mountain soaps have great products. I stock up on those each time I come. I buy at the pigeon forge store across from Smoky Mountain Cat House mostly or at the craft shows. Love how green everything is there now.
