A ding dong lawnmower mechanic installs his own firewall. I install LS Fabrications firewall kit on the 1957 GMC 100 pickup project truck I'm building for my sister in law. #gmc #lsfabrication #restoration
Don't beat yourself up man your way better than most on that sheet metal I wish I was half that good! Keep up the good job that is going to be a nice truck. Dave
Im on this same journey... my frame is sitting in the shop... fixing to start. I bought same kit, 57 onto a 79 4x4. Thanks for you taking the time to document and capture the details.
Love the job and video Wally. I am doing the same to my '56 Chevy SB when I get around to it. I'm currently working on the box right now. Need to finish it before I can take the front apart, I have no room in my garage lol. I was wondering what pneumatic saw you have there? Is it one of the Offshore jobs that has no speed control? How is it? I'm thinking of getting one. Thanks
@@wallysworkin823 Thanks Wally. I feel for you in the sheet metal, I too am a beginner at this stitch welding and heat affects to sheet metal. I love the shout out you did to the Canadian RU-vidrs, I follow them to get inspired as well! Kyle, Brent, Fitzee, Karl, Chad, great content!
Doing the same truck on my channel right now with over 100 videos and probably another year or two to go. About to start my firewall - question… I like to see how everyone does it but - how did you redrill the factory hood hinge bolt holes? Kind of crucial to get those exact but you basically deleted them lol. What’s your plan, or did you already cover it in another vid?
I made a jig before I cut the old firewall out. You can see it in this vid. The 1957 GMC gets modern BRAKES / Performance Online master cylinder and booster install ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T9CzDqbGM88.html
Hey man i know this is unrelated but i recently stumbled across your Channel im not sure if there’s a better place to reach you but i could use your help if you have time. I have a Redmax eb4300 it recently lost power and when I release the throttle the idle goes super low almost like it’s about to die. I cleaned the carb cleaned the spark plug and it has spark. I aired off the airfilter i cleaned the gas tank and all fuel lines but when I had a view into the cylinder from the carburetor intake I seen the piston was very badly scored up and down and possibly the cylinder is in not the best shape either. It’s just weird because it was running strong a few days ago and all the sudden lost the power. I’m really not sure if it’s the piston and cylinder but my blower is old and I cannot find any rebuild kits for it that are decently made. Id apperciate any advice or help thanks for your time
