@@danielle7729 raise the computer monitor or the laptop on a stand! It helps SO much. If it's a laptop, having a separate keyboard helps a LOT too if working on it for a long time, separate corded keyboards that connect via usb can usually be found pretty cheap second hand on gumtree too, or in australia Kmart have an $8 usb keyboard 🙂

Perfume should be dabbed behind the ears and pulse points, not sprayed. Spraying on clothes is helpful for lots of people, including for people undergoing fertility treatments and pregnancy. Cheers.

I'm in my early 50's, African-American female and I've had neck lines since grade school. Now I'm getting loose skin to go along with it (SCREAMMMMM) Now I understand the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. And my hands are always in water...I'm in school for Esthetics now!! I think “tech neck” has been around for a long time. People, including myself, often position their neck the same way when reading books. You’re so right about the lines appearing in your early 20’s. I’m only 23 and I’m definitely starting to see them. Its a hard habit to break! I just started bringing my AHA serum and sunscreen down to my neck 😅

Growing up I’m a very introvert person. When I pass by to group of people or schoolmates I looked down every time so that’s why I got neck lines at an early age. Now I gained confidence and I am more open and smile a lot at people without looking down. And always remind myself not to make my neck lines worse LOL

Mónica Linow I think that is called a tan line in English. It happens when an exposed part of your skin tans (darkens) when exposed to sunlight. The best way to remedy this is to wear sunscreen every day on your body and not spend extensive time sunbathing. Tanning is not good for your skin. I hope that this helps!

I used these Sio patches. They are expensive and I could not use them more than 4x before having to dispose (they are advertised for, I believe, 10 uses). The reason being, was by time 4, on two separate occasions, I noticed I started to develop a rash in the area where the patch was. I stored these patches exactly as directed, but I still developed rash on the 4th use. Either way, these are not a good long-term solution for those on a budget.

Just be cautious with Elf. They primarily make their stuff in China. And water being first ingredient in most cosmetics... I'd be really careful in terms of pollution and human rights since water quality in China isn't always great and if employees are treated with respect.

Hey everyone! Dr Dray recently recommended the dermatology neck cream and I just wanna say that it got rid of my neck lines after three uses. Oh my god! These actually work! i am 59 yrs old and i started these a month ago. I have a vert deep wrinkle on my smile line the side that i sleep on. I have had such amazing results! These patches have plumped up the skin and the lines are almost gone. I do it about 4 times a week, all night. They are comfortable but i sometimes wake up with some on my pillow. :)

Due to a lifetime of sunscreen, I actually look a bit younger than I am. I had an acquaintance act shocked when I told her my age - and what she said was 'wow, your neck looks so good'. At the time I thought that was odd until I started noticing other people's necks and realized how a lack of care made such a difference. sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. and, now I will likely try the Sio patches - heck can't hurt to try and do all I can!

@@mamijojo6446 10/10 highly recommend - it helps soften the appearance of lines on my neck. it is pricey, but def well worth it. to compare, i tried other non-medical grade silicone patches and they are not the same. the sio patches are demonstratively different in quality, texture, and results. medical-grade silicone is gold.

It makes sense that these would work, however in some of the reviews people stated that they only lasted a week before they either stopped sticking or bunched up. (Even though they made sure to have the area clean and dry). Is there a less expensive dupe for this? Thanks

Hi Simone, it is important to cleanse the skin very well prior application (with an oil-free cleanser) as other products or natural oils might interfere with the adhesion of the patches. The good thing is that you can actually reactivate the adhesive on your SiO patches by giving them a wash. We recommend using an oil-free cleanser and hot water. You always want to make sure it's completely dry before your next application or before placing it back on the storage shield 🙂

I'm about to order my first one. I've been told that it's important to make sure your skin is washed and is completely dry before you put it on. Try that and tell me how that goes

I had the exact same experience, and the neck patch was even worse in creating creases overnight in the skin where the patch creased. I generally love Dr. Dray's advice, but felt compelled to chime in with my negative experience with the Sio products.

It seems like the removing of the Sio patches, even with holding the skin taught like you demonstrated, would be hard on the delicate skin around the eyes.

Hi there, when removed correctly the patches will not pull or hurt the skin. We recommend using both hands, one to slowly peel off the patch and the other one to hold the skin in place. It's actually very easy. You can find a video on how to do it here: instagram.com/p/CAN3isfjA7p/ 😊

The SiO Smoothing Patches are meant to be applied onto cleansed skin. If you use Retin A you can still use the patches but please make sure you alternate their use 🙂

Since tretinoin can already be irritating, I imagine the two together would probably be even more irritating since she said the neck skin is more sensitive. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hi Michael, the SiO Smoothing Patches are meant to be applied onto cleansed skin. You can still use the patches but please make sure you alternate their use.

Hi Dr Dray and everyone great topic. I have the Sio patches. The eye and forehead are great but after an hour of wearing the neck one I get a red burning line . Off topic since I'm 57 and have salt and pepper hair, I follow some over 50 and silver hair bloggers .I always get skincare and makeup lines geared toward older women on my feeds. I go to the websites to see the ingredients (thank you) and I'm shocked how many of them have citrus and lavender oils and other oils .Have a fantastic day love to mom and Tybee 💕😍💞

Hi Mary. Thanks for this info. I'm 52 and haven't gotten bad neck lines yet, but am interested in these patches for prevention. Interesting about the red burning line. Maybe some sort of allergic reaction?

It all comes down to sun exposure! You can easily tell someone's age by looking at their hands & neck. Apply sunscreen daily to these areas and don't sunbathe - try stay in the shade when it's really hot outside.

I tried the SIO patch as a 50+ woman and I really didn’t see any marked improvement. I haven’t tried the ones for the hands. Maybe because I live in Utah and it’s really dry here. Or maybe I’m too far gone! I found more improvement from the liquid collagen I’ve been taking for the past year.

Hi Dr Dray! I don't know if you'll see this, but I've recently found your channel and I was really hoping you could do a video on dry skin with acne! My skin is very dry and flaky, yet I'm always broken out and have sebaceous filaments and closed comedones on my jaw, cheeks, and neck.I always see tips for acne for oily skin but those products tend to dry my skin out even more. I need heavy moisture but I also want to have clear skin 😬 do you have any tips for me‽ I've been using BHAs and AHAS, sometimes azaleic acid, niacinamide, retinol every few days. And of course tons of moisture and a basic non drying cleanser. I'd love to have more Info! Thank you!! Love your channel 💕

So glad you mentioned perfumes. I got a bottle and thought you were supposed to spray it lightly on the neck. I got suuuch horrible dermititis. I stopped wearing perfume as a whole after that.

Ok but first that means that we cant have our skincare routine every night in order to use these and second having this on parts of our body means that our skin can't breath!!!🤔
