Who doesn’t love cooked cabbage with bacon and sausage. We put onion in ours as well and sometimes potatoes. It’s super hardy and comfort food at its best. Great job on it.
I doubt very few people on here actually know what food cooked on cast iron actually taste like. It in itself is a thing to actually experience. But cast iron over wood coals is something all together different. The cast iron takes away bitterness, adds a kinda sweetness to everything. And the wood coals makes everything smoky. Shit is absolutely heavenly. Don’t believe me. Try just regular old GRANDS. Biscuits cooked over coals, in good seasoned cast iron. You can put a biscuit on top of your head and your tongue will beat your brains out trying to get that biscuit!

I love this guy and his cooking!!! I am not southern but can understand some French. Brother you make some amazing food on an open fire and I love it, especially the Mother Fa-ing corn bread you do right in the skillet!! Much respect my friend 👊🏻👊🏻 love watching your cooking channel. Would it be possible to do some Wild Game on an Open Pit with the way you cook. I would love to learn more to make some great Louisiana game dishes from the way you cook. Ca c’est Bon!!!
Throw a chopped onion on that bacon grease wait one minute then add some chopped green bell pepper, wait one minute, then add some fresh chopped garlic and a tablespoon of Lawry’s Season Salt, wait 30 seconds and add cabbage....stir to get all the fond off the bottom of the pan and mixed with the cabbage.....then just cook it all down....
I usually cut the cabbage into wedges, wrap in foil, cover with real butter, then a bit of "Mrs.Dash seasoning,...then.on the grill about 40 min or so....comes out way tender and delicious
Thanks for showing your version of this, you have it with a lot of your main items. Maybe on day you'll have it with that MF rooster if he keeps interrupting you. 👀😁
Tony Chachere's Herbs and Spices in the green can with the blue top is hard to beat. It costs two bucks a can compared to lots more for everybody else's.
