First, thank you so much for this vid. Second, how do I turn the other singers and my volume off? Third, how do I save after a livejam song? I'm on Android and there doesn't seem to be an option

Thank you! You can only turn off the other singer's volume when you're the guest singer, not the host. You'd have to lower the volume of your phone of you were the host but then the volume of the music would be lower as well. You can turn your own volume off as a host and as a guest singer on the little volume sign on the bottom of your screen. I think you're right, with an android you're not being shown to save the song. The only one able to save is the host of the live jam after the song is finished. If he has an iPhone he should be able to. If he has an android ask him or her if they can save it

Hi, thanks for your videos! i have a question, not related to your video. i have a VIP user, i noticed that sometimes there are songs that you can still join them in a few months or even a year, and there are songs that you can join them only in 7 days and that's it. it's frustrating, only 6--7 days, and i see other people with more time... why it happens? can i control it ? i create a duet song, only for 7 days ? it's not fair...please help. thank you!

Hi! Yes, Smule only does that with specially picked songs if they've done a call to action to sing certain songs for example and the picked winners get their OC opened for several months. And some singers are Partner artists. For everyone the norm is 7 days though

Hello :) Yes, although you can still hear yourself through the headphones if you put the settings like that. But you will hear yourself with a delay while singing and that'll most likely confuse you. On iPhone there is no delay so it doesn't bother you. Thanks for the sub!!

Hello. Umm. I just wanted to share something with you. Umm, I watched a video that you shared in regards to some good quality ear buds and you mentioned the apple. Well. I'm like OMG duh when it comes to electronics and things. I got them bi was excited. But I opened the package they don't work on my phone. Cuz its not an apple iphone. Not compatible. OMG. But oh well I'll just Bless someone with them. 😂😂😂. I'm a lil slow I know. But your videos are awesome. I still don't understand, but I'll get there.🙈Have a Beautiful Day Love 👏🙌🙌🙏❤️👍😂😂😂

Oh, you need to make sure you buy the right ones. Apple headphones come with a lightning adapter (for iPhones only) and with the normal headphone jack. Make sure you get the ladder ones! :)

How does it come late? When you hear yourself while singing? At the same time? That's one of the things smule hasn't been able to fix yet on Android. On iPhone that specific feature works better.

Hello! I have a question. When I join someone's live jam, the person, who's admin sounds delayed (for the person who has been invited) even though he/she's on time. Is there an option to fix it or it's a bug that smule has to fix?

Hi :) thanks for the question! This unfortunately is a bug that smule needs to fix, but is nearly impossible to completely fix it because you will always have latency with the internet and the processing and transfer of any kind of data. My advice is to turn the hosts volume down and turn yours a bit up, so you can almost only hear the music and yourself. If you sing with the music you will be on time for the audience and on the host's end. You can later relisten to the saved recording and it will appear as if there hadn't been any delay :)

I noticed on the list for kicking people out of your jam the top one reads ‘I don’t know this person’ is the whole idea of live jams not meant to be for example if you join a new user and here’s the thing if your in line and don’t say much at all and get kicked out for that reason, isn’t that not a bit unfair ? I was part of a live jam recently and I kept getting kicked out of the waitlist, every time I moved up the wait list I got knocked out or sent to the bottom . I don’t join many jams anyway but on my fourth attempt to join the waitlist I got kicked and I don’t know why ? I’d think twice of ever joining that person again. Saying that I have sang with some very nice people.

I honestly don't know why there's that option for not knowing the person. Or why you've been kicked out several times. It could be possible that that person just wanted to sing with certain people. I can imagine that button was created for private live jams, for when someone comes in that you personally, as the host, didn't invite to the live jam. Or maybe someone in the wait list was made administrator too and wanted to get his turn faster.

The recordings on this video are from my android phone, so it definitely works. It is possible that it depends on your specific model. But if it doesn't work in any way, contact support@smule.com

That's because video live jams are only available in smule groups. You can create your own or join a public group where you can start or join a video live jam

Hi, what do you mean by 'save'? Do you mean how to save a song you sang on live jam?

You get that option only if you're the host immediately after you finish singing the song . If you are a guest then you have to ask the host to save it for you :)

It should appear if you pressed save, that's all there is actually. It can take a few minutes to appear after that because it needs to load first. But then it should be there in your recordings

This tutorial is obsolete, the LiveJams are no longer available in Smule. The live performances are called Sing Live now and they work only inside private groups

It probably depends on your android phone since each of them is different. The newer models should work with live jam. I have a moto g7 plus and it works

@@HerbAndriMusic really, my cell phone is the model of last year lg k50s and does not give compartability, only with android. I think the live jam is really cool, however, if you fixed this little compatibility details it would be good.

Unfortunately they just changed the live jam feature to VIP and groups only. I might set up a group for live jams just for people who follow my youtube channel :)
