Thank you so much! A few years ago this would have been illegal (copyright infringement). I'm not clear how you get the YT button on the share screen on the phone (mine doesn't have it).

It technically still is because the songs aren't ours to post, nor Smule's. You can obviously post them on RU-vid, but if you were ever to make money off of your videos, the money for thag video would go to the one owning the song. If your phone doesn't have the RU-vid button I would do it the way I showed with copying the link and just download in it through the browser. Why that button doesn't appear, I honestly don't know. Might be the version or the device.

@@HerbAndriMusic I was on my iPhone 📱 for hours they was trying to help me I wanted the add RU-vid to my share suggestions so I could share my songs from Smule to RU-vid but mine is the same no RU-vid option on share suggestions they said RU-vid must not allow it or to talk to app developers I hope I can figure out about what u said about copylink

I wish you would do a video on 1) sit and sing or stand and sing...i think a singer sounds better while standing....2) are there stands available to place the phones on? holding a phone is inconvenient, keeping it on a table means you have to sit and sing.......are there alternatives?...........pls do post videos on these topics. thanks

Thanks for the feedback! No, I don't think there's a way for the user to make it visible. It depends on the version or the device. I can't even say 100% sure.

I don't know why to be honest. I haven't had copyright strikes, just claims and so they took my revenue for that video, but they didn't shut me down ever nor strike me for it

Hi, try using not the exact same instrumental of the song. Also make sure to use different title and artist names. For example: Fix ¥0u - C0ldpla¥

No, that's no problem at all, you can upload it without any problem.

No, you don't. But for anything that comes with licensing and royalty free music on RU-vid you should read the RU-vid guidelines

Mostly yes, copyright rules are strict on RU-vid and the AI recognizes the song mostly. Sometimes when they're very different from the original it is no problem though

Unfortunately, that won't go away. You can still post it. It just won't let you make money off of it, if you make money from RU-vid at all

@@HerbAndriMusic actually i dont have any copyright claim on my smule video which i uploaded. Actually i dnt have any monetization on my videos. I recently completed 4k watch hours and applied for monetization but monetization application rejected and said that reused content is in my videos.

Smule only works on the phone. You use the PC merely to upload songs or to download them.

I've always wanted to upload a cover song on RU-vid but heard that it is difficult with the violation of the copyright. Did you have or did not have copyright problems by uploading the karaoke videos of Smule on RU-vid? I am trying to find the easiest way possible to upload a cover song without playing an instrument.

Oh, that is weird. I just know that for some people it shows. I always thought it shows for iPhone only. But apparently not always. Maybe it depends on the version or the iOS version.

Oh of course! Yes, didn't I mention that in the video? If not, then my mistake! But yes, only video because otherwise you can't upload it to a video platform like RU-vid. Always needs visuals. I wish smule came up with an option for audio recordings to just show the globe or the cover art for the song on a video

Hi, I noticed it's not on every phone. Might be just an option or iPhone or specific Android phones unfortunately. You can download the song and upload it to RU-vid though

Hi, you just do the same as in the video but from your browser on your phone. So, Safari or Google Chrome will do for example. Go to one of those sites and insert the link of the song, press convert and download the song. Then upload it to RU-vid on the RU-vid app or in your browser on RU-vid.com

Hi, there's no real wya to avoid it. But a copyright clame doesn't normally mean your song gets taken down. Honestly, it's nothing to worry about. If you're not making money off of RU-vid it doesn't actually matter

You'll have to use a video making app for that to upload them to RU-vid. If you just download them you'll get them in mp3 format

I think it could be that the ones that show the RU-vid sign are videos, and the other ones are audio only. If it is only audio, you have to do it as k showed in the video, and put the music on top of a video (the video can also just be an image). There are lots of apps that can make videos like that

Copyright claim doesn't do you any harm, it just keeps in the money that's made through your video through ads. But you can still post it

You won't get a copyright strike. Copyright only matters if you want to out adds on these songs and make money off of it. If that's the case, then that money simply goes to the original artist or whoever owns the license for that song. If it's a cover or the original song, normally it doesn't matter. That's not Smule's fault though, it's just how RU-vid works

You can upload the songs without problem. If you want to monetize your videos (you're only able to if you're in the RU-vid partner program), then you won't be able to, all the revenue of that video will go to the original artist (or part of the revenue)

Hi, it is not illegal. So far, I've been uploading songs in the past and the only thing that happens is that they will keep the money you get from ad revenue on those videos. Or you share it with the artist. Sometimes there are a few artists /songs that are completely forbidden so they just block that video, but not the channel as far as I knoe

If you are, then it's nothing bad. They will simply not let you gain any revenue with that video and give all credits to the original artists. It won't change the video though and you can still post it, no problem

A copyright claim can't be removed. Only way is to try to dispute the claim through RU-vid. But it doesn't matter if you got a claim. Only thing they do is they take away the monetization on that song. You're not earning money from it, do you?

La calidad no es tan buena, pero suficiente para hacer música si es un hobby. Se pueden subir playbacks propios también si faltan playbacks de calidad. Si eres un músico con instrumentos es mejor bandlab!

I posted 3 smule covers to my youtube shorts, 2 of them no copyright problems, but the 3rd one was a copyright claim, why is that? Is It simply because the music is not mine, I don't own the rights? Is it as simple as that. Then why I didn't get copyright strikes on the other 2 videos from smule ? Probably the other 2 smule covers are royalty free i think they call it right. Except for the one that's a copyright cover. So I guess in other words, not all music on smule is royalty free music..

No, definitely not. I think it is just random when RU-vid makes a copyright claim. A strike would be a more serious matter, I haven't gotten that yet though. Claim means your ad revenue (which you only get once you reach 4000 watch hours within a year on your channel) will go to the original artist. It doesn't forbid you to post though.

You will have to try it. If copyright comes it won't let you upload it. My tip is : change the name up, and upload an alternative version of the songs instrumental
