Smush Parker, former NBA player, opens up about the incident with a parking attendant that led to his unceremonious exit from the Miami Heat. Parker recounts that he had an arrangement with an earlier attendant to leave his car parked out front for a fee, but a different parking attendant the following day unknowingly demanded additional payment; which eventually spiraled into a confrontation. The woman later alleged that Parker had choked and dragged her. Despite the existence of cameras in the parking lot, which Parker believed could exonerate him, all the footage mysteriously “disappeared.” The unsubstantiated allegation led to the Miami Heat ending its contract with Parker. He sees the experience as part of a divine plan, and he hopes his story will serve as a cautionary tale to others.

Kobe took a Jordan approach to his teammates. He would intentionally bully and apply pressure to weed out the guys that didn't have the mental fortitude to stay focused. He knew if you were liable to break when you got pressed them you would do the same when the season got grueling. It's messed up but hard to argue with the results.

Same can't be said about Kobe -- he actually lost the Finals for the team against the Pistons and he let the Celtics embarrass the Lakers. Also, MJ was never second fiddle. This is sad because Smush had game. But he lacked wisdom and guidance like so many young players. Kobe had his father's presence and example to school him. This is why having a Vet take you under his wing is so crucial for guys. Money plus character flaws often leads to self sabotage. Hopefully, Smush can takes accountability for where he is in life so he can move forward. The NBA needs younger refs.

I've just started working as security here in south Florida. This helps a lot. The communication barrier. All she had to do was call the valet attendant from the previous shift. But, there's a lot of reasons why this didn't happen. Or, the last valet should have given him a ticket. Just makes me think of accountability.

when you say 2005 championship team I dunno if you're talking about the 04 PIstons or the 06 Heat the Pistons won the championship in 04. Smush was with the Pistons the season after they won the championship (the year the Malace at the Palace happened) Smush was there at the Malace at the Palace In 2005-06 and 2006-07 Smush was the starting pointguard for the Lakers, so he was in L.A. Smush joined the Heat in 2007-08, which is the 2nd season after the Heat's 06 championship
