A trick that Ricky Jay does in his Card Manipulation effect. It's definitly not a beginner effect but a lot of fun to practice and play around with. And it just feels amazing when it works.

I honestly don't know. I never bought a magic dvd and the ones that were given to me were more novelty tricks.

I've never seen anything like this. Where do I start? Zero magic experience but I'd really like to learn how to manipulate regular card decks. Books, vids, where to begin?

+Noah Well, not to be too self-endorsing, I did a series where I taught an impromptu (normal cards) trick a week for a year. Here's the link: ru-vid.com/group/PLRMJ91DvhVnoz1Z0LGcHABo382EBSCnYx

Hey judson, what do you think is the best card control when doing live performance in front of the camera? I'm not worried about spectators, they don't see my pull-back pass or any other pass. But I have a feeling that it will be fishy on video. So should I just do something like sybil cut and then double undercut or control it on top "invisibly"?

+Dane Magic Please be creative with what pass you're going to use. I try not to adjust performance to much for the camera unless I'm doing a performance video without a tutorial. Perhaps the double dribble would be more effective if I hid the slip by angling the cards upward, so the camera would mainly see the bottom of the deck.

do you fan powder your cards?cause when you hand spread them they always look smooth..i have those black cards and they get really clumpy and stick together

I've never tried fan powder. I'm assuming I was using a newer deck at the time.

The "probably" in my banner is pretty important exegetically. I am hoping to get something up over Christmas break (college pretty much takes every moment lately). I have a new peak idea that I want to teach as well as some four card controls.
