Original Composition “Snake Eyes" composed and performed by four-time Grammy Award winning frame-drummer, Glen Velez, on bodhran, an Irish-style frame drum that is typically played with a stick called a "tipper" but here is being played with Glen's intricate finger style.

Had the pleasure of knowing Glen in High school. He was a perfectionists then as now.

Damn at 1:10 that polyrythm with the food jingles is insane. His timing is perfect, so good it almost sounds off but if you listen it's completely consistent. He's a master.

If you ever get a chance to do a workshop with him, do it! He gets everyone doing these crazy polyrhythms with different body parts.

How do I get that without a soul deal? I’m drawn to this ancient sound!!!!

I don't know what a "soul deal" is, but the finger technique is a thousand years old and how one plays the 'very ancient' and known world-wide FRAME DRUMS. (Tar, Bendir, Daf, Pandeiro frame drums) & even the Darbuka. Such information is readily available on RU-vid and the internet, if one looks. He calls this a Bodhran and that's fine with me, but the head is very thin, more like other frame drums.... I don't care what he calls it.... he KNOWS how to play it. The world of frame drums/hand drums melds together.... it is indeed ancient and interesting.
