Another great one guys keep them coming. For Pit people like myself, its a lot harder to find info on our animals as appose to say ball pythons. Outlets like this channel really help us learn from people who had boots on the ground for years. Thank you

Epic video and of course, kilker snakes. It really is so exciting to watch and learn. So very many thanks to Jason for his willingness to impart his invaluable knowledge on us!

It would be great to see a video on the Klumpers / Dyer / Super hypo strains of San Diego gophers and your thoughts on their genetics....

I'm super curious about what I've seen out in the bullsnake world, and with my own animals, regarding eye color and what role genetics might play in determing a snakes eye color. I think the most striking example that has peaked my curiosity is what I've seen with my white sided bull and my false ghost (Stillwater hypo white side) bull. They both have baby blue eyes but the false ghost has red pupils, almost like the eyes of an albino, and the white side has black pupils. So this made me wonder if blue eyes are genetically tied to hypos or a white sides? Or is eye color kind of a crap shoot? I feel like I've seen white sides and hypos with all black eyes or even amber colored. I've also seen variations in eye color with the red influenced bulls I've got and seen. Some have redish colored corneas with black pupils and some just have totally black eyes. So this was a long, rambling question to basically ask what role, if any, do genetics and morphs play on eye color and if you could potentially even pinpoint a snakes genetic morphs based on their eye color?

The simple one is T- and T+ albino, red vs dark eyes. Some have blue or silver eyes and some black, definitely morph related. We'll talk about it soon.
