I was hit by a copperhead while on a motor bike. In those days we had no gaiters and i always hunted with 2 pairs of jeans on me! Need i say I only got a small dose of the copperhead poison, but enough bleeding to know I was hit. The hospital confirmed what i already knew, a copperhead. Still Myrtleford hospital was 2 hours away! Now days, gaiters are my friend!

I must say it’s pretty disappointing to see such poor handling of this poor snake and use of scaremongering tactics by Moroka.30 and the “snake man” Raymond Hoser in order to try and sell an outdoor product. Not only is its body not being supported by Raymond Hoser it has injuries inflicted upon it by Raymond when he forcibly presses its head into the canvas of the gaiter (evident by the blood left behind).

I took a 7 foot brown snake strike to my crotch. My snake proof gators didn't do shit. But my Kevlar underwear saved my sack.

That's why I don't understand why they don't make snakeproof full pants. It only makes sense you would think.

These things work, I wear them all the time while I’m hunting or fishing and just before Xmas I was hunting and pretty much trod on about a 4ft tiger snake, on an overgrown with longish grass disused farm track, first I knew about it (and I’m always mindful of snakes) was I saw it moving away from my left leg as I went to put my foot down, I didn’t see or feel it but I’m damned sure it had already hit my ankle at the point just above where these gators overlap my boot, i froze it took another swipe at my shoe and took off, as I had frozen with my left foot right in front of it’s face. I don’t care what anybody says, these things work and they work well.

Protect only up to knees at most,, but the rest of body is still exposed! I have seen snakes on trees many times

+Thomas Schuh Because the Death Adder, as well as all Adders that I'm aware of, have hinged fangs.

@@benchesebrough3752 You've missed the joke. And they don't have hinged fangs. Hoser removes the venom glands from his animals. Hence the cocky freehandling

Death Adder.....that doesn't bode well. Yea, fuk all that. Death snakes, gun control, police state. Crossing Oz off my list. Which is sad because the people I've met are pretty cool.
