Use for removal of large pitman arms on 3/4 to 1 ton pick up trucks. Work faster and safer...requires less torque and space compared to existing tools/methods. Design is forged construction that securely locks in place. Less force needed to loosen Pitman Arm (safer); No need to use impact gun. Requires less clearance - often eliminates need to remove steering box. Large, forged components resist corrosion better than conventional Pitman pullers that can weaken over time.
Applications: Ford F-250/350 (2000 and later), Dodge 2500/3500 (2011 and later), Chevrolet/GMC 2500/3500 (2011 and later)

OMG Sold! I stripped or destroyed all my pullers trying to remove the pitman arm from an F250 recently. Great design!

+Schrodinger's Box Quantum Mekanix Did you purchase one of these, and if so, how do you like it?
@schrodingersboxquantummeka2008
Scott Dryer I did indeed. Worked exactly as advertised. Definitely one of those examples where the right tool makes a night and day difference!

Since I currently don't have a Snap-on Franchisee I had to drive an hour to pick one of these up in the next town. Worked perfect on a 2011 Chevy 2500HD. None of my other 6 or 7 pullers would fit between the gear box and pitman arm.

Works great, I don't use the provided strap... I just leave the nut on about 2-4 turns. Paid for its self in a couple of jobs

I’m curious to know if this would work on a 2016 Chevy 2500. The pitman arms are nightmares.

I tried multiple pitman arm pullers as well as a 3 jaw puller on a 2011 Chevy 2500 to no avail. Ended up using the huge 2 jaw puller that Astro Tools has. Same tool as the OTC hub grappler. Still took some work but it came off. I think this would work better due to the compound leverage applying more force. Similar to the ball joint press that Matco has, made by SP tools who also makes this pitman arm puller.

Will this still work on 1/2 ton vehicles too? Or is it stricly 3/4 ton and up?

Better yet just cut a slit in the side of pitman arm almost to the splines shaft then take a air chisel into slit and it will crack the rest of the pitman arm and come right off and all is about a 10 minute job and cost only about 10 cents of your cut off wheel , unlike this $10,000.00 snap on tool.

The cutting method works great when replacing the pitman arm but if you are replacing the steering gear you want to save the pitman arm to avoid extra cost so a puller is required. Solid axle trucks use a draglink that wears out instead of the pitman arm so pitman arms are not readily available on those vehicles. Very pricey tool but it has its time and place.

If you arent willing to invest in your tools, please dont knock the tools the true professionals use. Nothing worth having is free. I have many tool brands in my box. However Snap On is featured prominently in the "big expensive or technically advanced tools" department. Every one i purchased was to solve a problem i have run into multiple times. From my Solus ultra scanner to my Tech angle torque wrenches, to my Vantage Pro scope to my BJP1 ball joint press. I have an old style pitman arm puller, by Snap On. This one looks awesome by comparison.

You’re absolutely right that’s why I got the MST11880 from MATCO
