Great feature wish, definitely! While it's not exactly the same, for now you can add variation via automating parameters such as the pitch, filter, decay, .. Also if you set Dynamics to be other than 100% it does not follow the transient's volume exactly, which also creates some variation.
The type of plugin other companies would sell for $149. Instant purchase. This is a huge time saver. Cableguys you generous madlads. May I add a request: Give us a function to trigger the snapback layer for only every other hit.
There's a few ways to trigger only every other hit: - Automate snapback or transient on/off. - Duplicate your audio track, remove eg. every other snare in your copy and route the copy to Snapback's sidechain input. - Use Snapback's MIDI Out (in its Trigger panel), record the MIDI notes, remove the notes you don't want, and then set up Snapback to work on MIDI notes.
at that point though, and with all those tremendously silly workarounds to try and still justify your plugins existence, you may as well have just did the whole thing in audio....i could probably put together an entire 16-32 bar sequence with reverse bits and pre-transients placed where i want them to be rather than every single hit ,before i worked around all that to get them to be where i wanted them to be. You don't see how this is a very roundabout solution that adds extra steps that nobody needed until they took purchase of this plugin? ShaperBox gets daily use here, but this plugin is daft to be completely honest with you
This will be the first plugin in 2024 I've determined that is worth my money. Tried it for 10 minutes and purchased it. Nice work, great way to add some interesting sounds to boring stuff.
Got this added to me recent purchase after watching this video, no complaints, hadn’t even considered a tool like this to speed up track building but this will definitely help, thanks guys for adding this 👍
Never felt so good after buying a plugin - I bought the bundle a week ago and instantly got access to this for free. Thank you very much Also looking forward to listen more of your music, you have an awesome taste of detail and drum groove as well. 👍
Such a great plugin. I wish you guys added a way to add multiple triggers at different velocities, something very similar to Slate Trigger or Drumagog. The sheer intuitiveness of this plugin with those features would literally make this the best Drum replacement plugin for any genre .
@@hearmenow909 You can but you also get the option of layering multiple triggers as well, which you really cant do with Snapback right now. Giving the option of multiple triggers opens up so many avenues for this plugin. It would be a one stop plugin for any drum replacement.
Dope! 💥Not to be that guy who has a suggestion as soon as the plugin drops but hear me out it's a good one:....Round Robin option to give more variation and flavour.
Fantastic tool as always, Cableguys! I swear, every time you release something, my wallet just opens itself. No fluff, just pure, awesome tools-love it. This one is no exception. But… I think you missed a bit of a trick here. The first thing I did after loading the plugin was drag a sample into the slapback slot, only to realize… there’s no way to crop or reverse it! Come on, that feels like a natural move, right? Don’t get me wrong, the included samples are solid, but sound designers (like myself) are going to want to tweak and flip things directly inside the plugin. Here’s hoping that shows up in future versions-it just makes sense!
Yeah I think I’ll like this a lot. This kind of thing adds a lot of groove. It would be cool if you could add your sub as a source to phase match your kick. Is this possible?
Oh wow, literally yesterday, I was looking for various sampler-like VSTs to do exactly that. The closest one is Chop Suey for kicks, and the second one is just your Shaperbox. From the video, it does not seem to have two options that might be a must for me, but I'll ask anyway: - Does it support adding more transient-like layers and cross-fading between those? For kicks, a click and a transient-like punch are very often different... - Similarly, does it support shaping the incoming signal and adjusting blends/fades with the added transients? Otherwise, this looks absolutely great (and I love your UX and plugins), but I am not sure if it fits my needs and does anything more than Shaperbox (other than the undeniably cool snapback effect/workflow)...
yeah this looks like a definite game changer. here's my one question - if it uses lookahead to detect the internal triggers, how much latency will this create in my DAW? (edit: $29????)
With the Snapback layer set to "Off", there is base latency of 27ms (required for Audio Trigger and Limiter). Beyond that, the length of the Snapback sample adds to the latency. Snapback samples from the Short category add 35ms, while all others add 135ms. Using your own custom snapback sample will add latency equal to its length.
Please try setting the looping mode (tail) in FL Studio's rendering options to 'Leave remainder'. If that doesn't fix it, please mail contact@cableguys.com with details and we will help you get it working 👍

I wish this existed when I was creating my Going Down Black Rabbit Holes album! ru-vid.com/group/PLTSiQ6tjnTRRAox3GkhQMDtXsqdyX625- It took so many hours to carefully layer my snapbacks and hits, including many hours that were spent on track variation ideas that didn't make the final cut. The drag and drop option to add my own sounds is especially helpful.
