@@MisterEE100 Unfortunately good content does not seem to get views. UPDATE! I've got them printed and assembled with some use. They are interesting. They sound very, VERY good about 15 feet away, but with the horn loading they are extremely sensitive to position. Overall, it was worth it! The sound stage is phenomenal when you're in the "sweet spot" and are very crisp and clear. Excellent in the same setup he shows the testing being done in, but I would not recommend them when you're less than 5 feet away. I will say these things dig DEEP!

PETG Supports for PLA work very well, as does vice verca. PVA is increadably hydroscopic. To use the filament you need to dry it extensively before prionting and optimally print out of a drybox using a reverse bowden setup.

I build these speakers in the last few days. On my Voron35 300 it was a bit tight - I split the top section off - which has the advantage of using MUCH less support structure. These sound astonishingly good - these cheap driver are not bad. Only in loud and low frequencies I get a bit of a snaring - probably because some cabling inside was a bit loose - I did no damping foam inside too. Scrwing in the electrongs board was a bit of a hazzle. Very tight space. No idea on how to do this better - it is a rather large board. I would prefer to have it screwed to the back of the speaker (where the tube is). Maybe in another design :) With the new modern slicers you could easily print this in multiple parts (they even provide you with the fitting connectors between parts). But for this. kind of "organic" designs it is difficult to go without supports. Would be very difficult to do with wood - at least without a CNC router :)

Thanks for the video! For printing PVA, you’ll need a solution to keep the filament dry during the print. Otherwise it will keep failing. Printing from a simple filament drier should work. The glitch you had mid print I guess is due to the temperature inside being too high, the electronics and power supply can’t handle very high temp. Usually prints aren’t this long so it’s not an issue, but if it’s a very long print you should leave the chamber door slightly open so the temp will stabilize on a lower value.

Out of curiosity, have you tried the QIDI X-MAX3 on your new, solid tables? I've got access to a BambuLabs P1S at my local library; they use a heavy, lockable wheeled cart because the printer doesn't have a permanent home and I've found I still have to tie it back to the bookshelf behind it if the print is taller than wide or the cart allows it to shake parts loose (at full speed, anyways). The input shaping doesn't try to damp oscillations at the frequency of the entire printer on a wiggly table. I suspect you're seeing constructive interference between your table and the input shaper, but obviously YMMV. When I get my printer (eventually) I intend to brace it to a wall at the level of the print head. Assuming it's CoreXY at least...

just curious as to how you like that Dayton 4". This is the second project where you've used it, if I recall. My home theater makes use of 16 of them, coupled with 8 of the 2.5" extending range cone tweeters. I do have an idea for these drivers, which would incorporate an inwall enclosure for home theater applications instead of freeair inwall.

The prime towers seems to be causing issues for lots of people. Is the prime tower solid at the bottom? Maybe do a thick 5 layer base that tapers to the top. The prusa xl ones caused tada 3d printing no end of issues with her pug print. A couple others too. Have you seen 3d print bunny? She uses very thin cyclinders or boxes to form strands of filament to make her models just wondering if you created something that cross the prime tower (could cause a sliver conflict) so that they anchor the prime to the model or anchor to a hoop around the prime sort of like you did but with hardly any gap between so the prime tower can’t dance around… Further to the tower are you able to help with this? I’m looking for a desktop speaker model to print for my computer desk. Be nice to have something maybe 3”x6”x5” (wxhxd). The little resin print you did was cool size but not quite right sound. I guess Bluetooth would be good but not sure how the two speakers connect together. Wired is probably easier to do. I think I only have a 3.5mm outpost on motherboard (no soundcard). Be good if component were non Chinese as I don’t believe we should get nearly everything from a potential adversary - covid proved what could happen if the supplies were constrained (and that was even based on sanction or war time stance)…. Any ideas of way to do about?
