Led by Michael League, the group's transition to a tentet format at Nancy Jazz Pulsations 2022 showcased their versatility. Moving seamlessly from funk to rock with hints of heavy metal, the jazz presented is more liberated than free. The alchemy of instruments, including a tempestuous violin and grooving funk rhythms, reveals unexpected yet successful arrangements. The collective's diverse talent is evident, with musicians like Jamison Ross and Bobby Sparks standing out. The music is as usual always great and but why does the clarinet always does sound like violin too me that is a bullshit

The Music is great as usual but why a keyboard has to sound like a Guitar, if you have Mark Lettieri in the Band? What a bullshit!

It's the nature of this keyboard, a Hohner Clavinet D6, which has strings in it to produce its sound. If one ran this sound trough a distortion pedal it sound almost like a guitar. And yes Mark L. is great but maybe he can't do this closed voicings on his guitar.
