Snatam Kaur - Soul Prayer [Visualizer Video] 

“Soul Prayer” is the newest single from Snatam Kaur’s upcoming album release, Nirankaar. The track begins with a powerful invocation that is often used before Sikh prayers and worship. Exquisitely sung in English and Gurmukhi, its intention is to arrive at a place of true humility. The invocation is an opportunity to give oneself entirely to God, opening the door for the soul itself to pray and connect with the Divine.
The track then segues into “Ardaas Bha-ee”, a joyous mantra calling upon the saintly energies of Guru Amar Das and Guru Ram Das, the third and fourth Sikh Gurus, to allow the soul of the devotee to grow closer to the Divine - to be heard, and for its prayer to become manifest. Chanting “Ardaas Bha-ee” empowers practitioners to align with the pure energy of the soul’s prayer to the Divine, and to live by this vibration. The music for this track is a collaboration with Sukhmani who also provided percussion and vocals. It also features producer, Ram Dass on piano and vocals, and Grecco Buratto on guitar.
