Welcome to a sneak peek of a new release from Diamond Art Club! This is "The First Dragon" by artist Ravynne Phelan, and is part of DAC's special Lunar New Year / Year of the Dragon releases! This stunning artwork is one that I've been hoping for for quite some time! I started on it right away and have a little progress to show you at the end of this video. My heart is so full and I'm so happy that this gorgeous piece is here!
This new kit is part of a midweek release and will be released on Monday, January 29th at 9am Pacific Time / 12pm Eastern Time. This is the general release time for everyone - there won't be an early release for Diamond/Ruby Tier members this time.

That is a beautiful picture and rendering! I absolutely love the pastels in it. I'm excited to see all of the releases tomorrow, can't afford to buy sadly, but thats okay. I'm on my last 3 sections of my Michael's Forest Lake canvas, and then I'll be on to kitting up Descendant of the Volcano. It'll be my first square kit, and it has 26 bags of 310....so we will see how that goes, haha. I'm super excited. I have also fallen in love with dragons through discovery of diamond art. I love all the dragon kits I've seen, and can't wait to get more! I also found the Siblings kit that DAC had, that you had in your dragon hoard video. I'm so excited to get it. Thank you so much for sharing! I enjoy your videos! I like listening to your videos while I work on my kit. So excited to see the progress on this kit!

This would be a beautiful companion piece to Phelan’s “A Gift From the Void.” In my mind the art together feels like the nighttime dragon in “Void” gave the egg to the day and here she is hatched in all her sunrise splendor, “The First Dragon.” I know nothing about the artist’s personal feelings on these pieces, but the colors match and coordinate so beautifully it’s the first thing that came to my mind. Thank you for showing us what it looks like with drills down, Katie! You must have worked hard this week trying to get this done in time! ❤🐉💜

When I saw kits coming out for year of the dragon, I immediately came home from church to look for videos. I knew you’d be over the moon 🌙 your painting so far is my favorite. Watching to the end of the video, the colors you’ve already don look amazing

Oh boy! This is GORGEOUS! When I saw this video pop up I was thinking to myself that I bet you're SO happy with this dragon DP! 😊 It's really looking gorgeous already! Great work and so fast too over just a few days! Wow! I would love to snatch this one up but I bet it will be sold out before my hubby gets paid tue night. lol So it will definitely go on my wishlist since I used my points up when I ordered Fairy Queen Pippa Returns on Saturday morning. lol! I’m happy you were able to get this piece after trying for so long. I love the colors in this it makes it look like it’s glowing. I try to save the face for last on my kits to end on that note of bringing them to life.

Oh no! That happened to my Satura kit too, the wrinkling. It still has a couple spots that are a bit dimpled unfortunately. But mostly it’s unnoticeable. I think they should put the toolkit inside the dustcover inside the tube of the painting. They could avoid a lot of that. I actually have a whole video on it and trying to iron it out like they said to, and it got burned! Still really love it though, it’s my favorite kit so far by far!

I'm not sure but I think the canvas I'm working on might have missed out on the special canvas featu of Diamond Art. I rolled the canvas backwards and the folds still have not come out and its been 2 days! I've also adjusted the clear film but the creases and bends are still there... Its the Randal Spangler Huggable picture.

Hi Katie! This kit is STUNNING! I REALLY want to purchase and TRY to complete it. Question for you...I've not completed a square kit yet. I have a bunch but have been a bit afraid to do one. 😊 I've only been diamond painting for about a year. Do you think I could complete this as my first square kit? Thanks for the advice!!
