This will be the show that'll end my absence from reality tv which stretches back 6 years. I love SWV and Xscape. They basically defined my childhood. SWV first LP...WHEW! My lil' friends and I used to sing the LP version of _Anything_ in the hallways at school during recess. Same thing goes for _Tonight._ They records were so colossal and still means the world to me. I’m tryna figure out who wants a solo album from Tocha rn other than her and her husband? I do however see potential in a possible inspirational album but in every era she’s had with the group she’s been the source of the drama which had her sitting on the sidelines for years prior. She hasn’t yet learned humbleness and loyalty is what she lacks and so desperately needs to garner immediately! Lastly, I listened to her solo album from I think 1999 and it wasn’t good material and I truly believe that’s why Columbia didn’t want it and JD didn’t take it to Virgin with him. There were no hits on it they just sound like writing demos to say the least but she has a wonderful voice I just wish her moves weren’t so sus. It comes off as shady and that’s all I have to say about that for now… wish her luck tho ❤

She tried the solo thing and it left her paying back money and her project didn’t go far as the studio she made it in she let Jermaine Duprey and his daddy geek her up to do a solo project the first time and than they left her high and dry and in debt

she actually did record her album back in the late 90s, the label Jermaine’s dad owned never released it. She had to pay the money back($300,000) to the label that she never even spent. Jermaine was the one who advised her to go solo because of the issues the girls (particularly kandi) had with her singing lead on most of the last album & the fact that Tocha wrote on it. (Tocha wrote My Little Secret) . She stated they were mad when she did have to sing lead & of she didn’t, producers were upset. They all weren’t getting along anyway so she wanted out. She agreed to do the last album but not promote it. Kandi & Tamika were not coming to video shoots which is why “Softest Place On Earth” never had a video, even though it was supposed to. Kandi put her own album out a couple of years later & Jermaine’s DAD helped her do that, which is why the rumor Tamika stated about Kandi sleeping with him got started. Tocha doing her solo project may have played a part in the group’s demise but she was NOT the sole & only reason it broke up.

And like I said... Tasha's husband always the root of Xscapes problems. He was the problem then and he's definitely the problem now. Only difference is, he's on camera. Other than that I can't wait to see both groups. I love them both

Born n raised in Vegas n my first concert in 89 sixth grade was SWV, H Town, Silk n Shai at the Aladdin which is now planet Hollywood. I seen Xscape twice in concert in the 90's with LL cool J, Mary J Blige n more. I seen legends in concerts living here especially in the 90's n early 00's, concerts are not the same tho the energy is different then back in the day.
