As a Hong Konger, I’m aware of the issues in China. Not all countries are perfect, including China. I’m not denying my own country or anything, I’m just glad someone isn’t afraid of pointing out those issues. Thank you bro.
I don’t know why but this is so motivational watching two people who speak different languages and are from other places come together and complain about this problem
Opinion on the day that happened in 1989? Edit: Theres so many notifications flooding in my phone after i made this reply sheesh Edit 2: I sacrificed all my social credits to make this reply
Since when Hong Kong had a national security law, we’ve lost our rights to talk about 8964. The incident was always a topic that is prohibited in China. There are many people who doesn’t know anything about it. When I saw your museum, I somehow feel touched. The museum can actually let Chinese people know about what the communist party have been doing and also know more about their country’s history. Therefore, I have to appreciate your effort put on making this video and the museum.
this is genuinely one of the best videos ive ever seen and the fact that i haven’t actually clicked on it until now when this has been popping up in my recommended for so long is just honestly. idk bro
Hey Ruben, I'm a hong kongers and I really appreciate you standing up for us. I hope one day Chinese people and Hong Kong people can be liberated and gain their independence
I may be viewing this video two years late, but I think this is absolutely wonderful, Ruben. As a Chinese American, it warms my heart to see you try to connect with those who are bound by a different system. Actually, it doesn’t matter that I’m Chinese; this will warm anyone’s heart
We need to see more of this, seeing Ruben being an active person making Roblox a better place is actually something that has made him one of the best Roblox RU-vidrs
you're a genuinely great guy for doing this, ben part of me wants you to do something like this over a livestream every now and then, showing chinese users what it's like over the firewall and showing them some history that the CCP wants scrubbed

@@aunzzietherobloxplayer8913The thing is as a Chinese, VPNs are also restricted here but there are still some that are in the App Store, but most of them requires paying OR watching ads to get limited time of VPN. And if you have play store on your phone (Android) it’s broken (It won’t load) meaning you can’t even download a VPN or any other apps, but I heard that Huawei gallery is the China play store. I really hate Tencent for banning Roblox, crazy is that Honor of Kings (Global) is not available in China..? A game developed by Tencent themself and is very famous in China, they also banned Mobile Legends which is also a popular moba, I heard their company is in Shanghai, it’s a pity that they can’t even test in the place they are in.
it was funny enough, but i'm glad china's horrible government system is being brought to light, this has been going on for so long, and everybody just views Russia as public enemy number 1
I may not be Chinese, but I am living in China currently and I’ve been here for a while now. China banning Roblox is a big problem for me because I play Roblox everyday with internet issues until I find a good VPN server which is fast, but I rarely find those and if I use it for too long it starts getting slower making the gameplay slower.
Even though he was causing massive destruction, it brought a tear to my eye to see that first newbie flying around, throwing molotovs galore. I can just imagine him at his kitchen table, with a smile on his face, watching the flames of death he's conjured.
Genuinely, I like imagining just how much fun the player must have been having at that moment, for something must of us have experience multiple times over and take for granted.
"He might not know what is province" "Can you translate" "Wait a moment." "I wanna go to pee" "let us know when you're back" "yes" "Enjoy your toilet" *Outstanding move*
Ruben pulling the bacon over the great wall of China got me laughing 😂😂😂 Edit: my mom is from guang zhou but at that time there was no districts so i will call it guang zhou in these in few sentences. Honestly the museums was great over this vid deserves 10/10.
all of the jokes about china aside, this puts a smile on my face. i'm not chinese, but it's quite warming to see chinese players experience what roblox really is. a bit chaotic, yes, but certainly better than the giant chains held on luobu
I thought this was just gonna be a silly funny little Roblox with trolling. But I'm actually touched by the video. Really brought me back to the reality that not everybody can experience the joy others can experience.
watching Giao fly around with infinite molotovs and absolutely make everything feel the eternal flames of hell was honestly so magical. i couldn't stop laughing.
Despite being half comedic, I genuinely appreciate and cherish the underlying, emotional meaning behind this video. Actually made me feel things which is funny, considering it's a roblox vid. Beautiful work
As a Chinese person I love how you guys are helping them escape the border known as china’s strict rules to make sure they can have fun and make sure china dosent ruin fun for China and free Hong kong

It's really sad Rueben got banned because the last thing he did on roblox was this video of him literally introducing players to a better side of roblox than what they likely had before.
@@macoykirisame Those bastards, Ruben Sim is like the Yi Sun-sin of Roblox, they are the greatest defenders of their respective citizens, both actively calling out corruption, and are laid low by said corruption.
I love that behind this dark humored/ more mature channel is someone who actually cares about what is happening. Even though he made some jokes, he never tried to take away what was important from the video. This man is awesome.
Giao : Got the Chance to have fun TW : Got the chance to study The reason behind why China has censorship Justin : Got The Chance to talk to someone outside the firewall
Did you know that people in china dont care and use global apps with ease ? Im not from china, but is it obvious, dude in this video make it looks like north korea on steroids
this is actually very wholesome, its like the feeling of bringing a person into another parralel world but better just like theyre escaping their north korea into their south korea
@@JokerPersona15 Imagine having historical events and what's actually happening in your country being unnacessible to hear about if it's even the tiniest bit bad to the government.
Putting aside all the deep sort of talk, the Chinese guys seem really nice and wholesome, one may be a bit older than the rest and I can see why Ruben showed him the 64 museum, the other 2 are probably just kids and they probably didn’t know about the 64 stuff, but besides that. All three of them got to see real Roblox for probably the first time in their lives
I liked the part where saying "it's flooding" got censored when it was clearly flooding ingame. It's like a satire of the huge floods that happened in China a couple months ago (not sure if it's still flooding tho).
Hopefully the administrator who banned Ruben will regret and return his account, he certainly won't believe that a "bad" person could have done something fair, congratulations Ruben tip my hat
I love you ruben sim for showing a person a museum that's about history and knowing how other people from other restrictive rules could be free and not deal with stressful rules.
"Enjoy your toilet" There's something about people who know English well enough but not to the point of natively speaking it that I love. They always seem so nice and happy about literally anything.
ага, английски не мой первый язык, ну прикольно говорить но нём. Ya, English is not my first language but it is fun to talk using it. (actually my real native one is German and most of my family’s native is Russian, but idk how to talk in German)
Ruben brings the best of both worlds, content making fun, poking at the fanbase of games, and then videos like these, touching on real political maters that do need to get fixed.
As a Chinese (from Mainland), I must say, this is one of the most heartfelt videos I've seen on the Tiananmen Square Massacre. It feels really wholesome to see other Chinese going across the firewall and playing International Roblox, and enjoying it. A shame that I can't visit the Museum myself. This video is really a refreshment from the otherwise overly sensationalized contents regarding China. Keep up the good work Ruben :)
@@alyssarasmussen1723 That only effect the games on mobile phones and those games running by Chinese corporations, Most of the kids can still(If they know how)play games like CoD and games from Steam and other games from outside the GFW.
@@alyssarasmussen1723 That dose not apply on adults, adults can play freely. to be honest not even the kids, because they can always use their parent‘s ID to bypass the authentication process, in order to play freely.
Fun fact: you can 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000% play the international/original/real version of Roblox (the one we all knows) by just simply connecting to your mobile data, despising that although WiFi does block you from stuff like RU-vid and everything outside, the Data can’t and won’t block you, so basically epic vpn you can find easily.
It went from funny to wholesome so quickly These people have been starved of the fun and enjoyment many of us could enjoy anytime and I hope that one day they can be free. Such insight
If anyone didn’t know: If roblox wins this whole lawsuit, this channel is GONE. It’s deleted. It says it on the document. Edit: Unrelated to my original comment but Ruben made a statement regarding the situation on his twitter, I’ll just repost this here for people to see, the following is his statement: “gonna make the very smart decision to not comment on the complaint roblox lodged against me cause i wanna make my lawyer's and the court's job as easy as possible. when all of this is said and done you can have my side of the story. i'll still be uploading vids as usual.” (Twitter post from Ruben)
This one man (who is being suppressed by roblox officials by the way) is standing up to the Chinese government, helping Chinese users escape the confines of Chinese roblox, and educate them about the horrors inside the mainland all the while. What a legend.
I think it's a bit of both, started out as a meme at the beginning, but became more wholesome/serious around the end and ye, china has it pretty bad, by far the most strict country I've ever seen
@@adamas9714 You see, rules exist to make things safer. Too many rules would make life stale because everything is restricted by those rules. There wont be many areas of life to explore because of those rules and restrictions. Everyone has to let loose once in a while right?
I view Ruben Sim as the living embodiment of the Robloxian Spirit, the will of an entire people that has been beaten, bruised, and abused by the Roblox Corporation, as the rest of Roblox surrendered to David Baszuki's unholy vision he alone has the strength to carry on and keep hope alive. This section is the baptism to which he ascends from a common robloxian trying to make content to a messianic hero who will stop at nothing to free his people, just like he freed the Luobu players, just like he freed himself. David finds stupid reasons to ban him when he can because he is unable to truly control Ruben because he has Ascended past a mere robloxian, He is The One True Free Robloxian.
This went from “elaborate shitpost” to “serious world issue awareness and learning” real fast. And I’m here for it. Good way to get someone’s attention before teaching them something anyways.
that last moment where the tanks lined up infront of the man with groceries was a flashback infront of the roblox version made me feel legit empty and dull
3:56 you know i just love how much of an oxymoron this is this guy became god and threw mollies at everything and even then, watching it is adorable, seeing the kid go around and be incredibly free
Its like when I first got Minecraft PE and just flew around in creative mode just blowing stuff up with TNT, and building awesome (quite horrible, looking back on it) structures purely out of diamond blocks. Back when limited worlds was all that was, and nyan was the best seed.
This is beautiful. Bringing the Chinese people from China to real roblox, experiencing freedom, love, fun, happiness, violence, war, horror and more! I as a Chinese myself may not come from China, but I agree that all Chinese people should play regular roblox.
I love that this video always pops up in my recommendation! If only roblox was still opened to china, since I made an online friend who lives there years ago.
shoutout to the hong kongers who didn't get to go to the 64 vigil or exhibit because the government censored it. your situation is what inspired me to make the museum in the first place.
Hello Ruben, I am a Chinese from Guangdong Province. I have seen your video and I can answer a question, which is:Why is Tencent now banning the international version of Roblox while not opening up the Chinese version? That's because Tencent spent a lot of money buying the Chinese version of Roblox、They believed that this game could bring them good profits to make money, but due to various rules and restrictions, there were not many players, so they closed the Chinese version of Roblox. But they thought they wouldn't lose money if they bought it, so they forcibly intercepted Chinese players who didn't use VPN and brought them to the already taken down Chinese version of Roblox。This has led to Chinese players now having to use VPN to play roblox, which comes at the cost of high ping and occasional lagThese are what I know now. Finally, thank you for speaking for us Chinese players. Thank you!
I wanna say something now, I’m a 100% Chinese and I can tell you that personal VPN is illegal, reason why not everyone who uses VPN Goes into police department and detention for 14 days is that no one reported VPN users. If anyone reports their friend or classmate using VPN, BOOM, their life ends and no company will want a employee who did crime. But luckily 99.9% of people in China won’t report. Btw if u are in people’s army, they will check your phone by force and force you to use phones made in china. If they checked out anything that is relating to VPN, boom, kick and detention.
All jokes aside, that isn't his country, his country has been independent and democratic for quite some time. (it is however important to note that Taiwan only became fully democratic in the later second half of the 20th century.) His country is The Republic of China, a democratic capitalistic nation. The history presented was about The People's Republic of China, a nation where people are oppressed by the government. Sorry to be a history buff, but I just thought that some people might find this interesting, as I often times see that people really don't know a lot about Taiwan.
I grew up in Shanghai in China - I'm lucky enough to now live in Ireland - and it's a really good thing that you do this! We never get properly taught about things our government does, and the censorship is extremely bad back home. I really appreciate that you did this, thank you
