It doesn't matter what he's fine with or not; his house, his rules. He's also been very chill with it, too. I agree that weed smells worse than cigarettes, however the higher tar content in cigarettes makes it much harder to get the smell out of anything, especially rooms. Very easy to get weed to passively fumigate. Cigarettes are a lot more difficult.
I do see a point for the weed one some people do take it for a medical reason but I’m sure they have to show a card or license to smoke weed in there and there’s a place for them to smoke it in
That and the fact that cigarette smoke can feel suffocating to those around the smoker, which is especially true in an environment with people breathing heavily after working out.

That made me infuriated too.. although I don't live in Canada I'm in Wisconsin but it can get pretty cold here, we had a polar vortex in 2019 it was -30 degrees f windchill hitting -40 and in some other areas it was -60. The fact he said it's cold and California.. wouldn't last in what cold really is.. it can be 20-30 degrees out and I'd be out there in a tshirt and pants..
This is such a childish thing to be anger about? People have different body types as well as different iron levels which can contribute to how easily they get cold. Someone who is 250 pounds with a good amount of body fat is going to stay way warmer than someone with 150 pounds and little body fat. Plus as yall have stated yall live in colder climates. That same "freedom" to do as you please, without restriction, has caused accidents ranging from minor to fatal. I don't care when taking liberties effects only the person involved; their consequence is their choice. It's when it effects other people I don't think it's acceptable. A more apt example would be Tiktokers/RU-vidrs filming "creepy men" in the gym. As a result, a lot of gyms are banning all videoing now. Would you still advocate in favour of freedom to allow this to continue? For people to be mocked and perhaps even fired from their job for how they were portrayed? Perhaps it results in marital problems or their children being bullied. Do you see how there are so many variables where taking advantage of freedom lends itself to people being unprofessional or simply inconsiderate and taking things too far?

@@tonyisnotdead I'm not authoritarian, the instance here is somebody smoking and disrespecting not only a friend but also everyone else in the gym. Brad's lenience to allowing weed to be smoked opened the door to then generalise to other forms of smoking, i.e. a cigarette. It's obvious Sneako did this for entertainment purposes, but this likely wouldn't have happened had the freedom to smoke weed not been allowed in the first place. All I'm saying is that there are types of people who will keep pushing the rules and not consider anyone else as long as it benefits themselves. Generally, people are not like this but the more lenience there that's permitted, the greater the number of people that will follow the trend.
Perhaps because some people smoke marijuana for medical purposes like epilepsy and other physical conditions. He might be a bit more lenient towards it because of that.

From the conversation it becomes pretty obvious that he never put himself in a clear position demanding of actual respect. His seeming incapability to not argue about youtube stuff, threats of violence and childish repetitive rhetoric of "I'm not playing", "do not disrepect my house" does not elevate him above Sneako but signals that he is on his level and there is room to argue, which is exactly what Sneako does. Any actual adult would have just told him in a couple short sentences that he should put it out and if he's ever caught doing it again, he can go look for a new place to train. I do also. Only smelled it a few times. It smells hit a skunk that let out one last big fart before dying. Cigarettes small like someone's getting cremated. Both smell bad but weed smells worse to me. I'm fine with people smoking and using it as it has medical properties. I just don't want to be around when someone lights up.

I smoked a bowl of weed before the gym everytime. But in my car. And yes, weed smoke has a wayyyyyy more potent smell then cigarette smoke. But if we’re talking about second hand smoke, cigs are bad. Second hand weed smoke might just make you relaxed or smile a little more
Nah, smoking weed is different. The scent of weed doesn't linger around for days after smoking a joint. Cigarettes, however, do. I allow people to smoke weed in my house, but not cigarettes.
