Truly can't wait until your videos come out each week. If I can't be out on the water, they're the next best thing. And...you always share your strategies. Much appreciated! Are those Costa sunglasses?
This happened to ne today. glass water and had them on megalive. Nothing. Then around 1pm dropped a nightcrawler in 62F surface temp and the wind picked up. caught a 18 inch eye on the first drop of the jig in about 12-13 feet and then found the school!
It’s the FIN GEAR Live Scan Pole Mount. bit.ly/FIN-GEAR-pole-mount Not cheap but it has worked GREAT and is super beefy! I had broken numerous other poles that had lots of plastic parts, so finally ponied-up for one that could withstand my abuse. I have it mounted on a Cisco Sport Trac Lund Mount (42°) so I can move it anywhere around the boat.
That spinner treble is also deadly for lakers on jigging raps. Adds some nice action when you wind up trying to instigate a chase. We had a similar situation the other day. Tried trolling raps & spinners, pitching jigs, Ned rigs and drop shots with no bites. Started ripping a hyper rattle and caught prob 3/4’s of the fish we graphed. Nice jacket too btw!
I do a similar thing with King Salmin in Puget Sound. I believe it is the vibration and the fishes lateral line. Fish dont "hear" but they feel vibations. I am sure it feels like an anomaly (wounded fish... easy to catch).
Someone made a fake Target Walleye RU-vid channel and was commenting all over the place about some bogus giveaway. Have them blocked from the channel now. We do run a bunch of giveaways thru our email newsletter, but they aren't fishy like that one lol. Thx!
Has anyone made a walleye fishing video regarding finding them in the dish pan prairie lakes in South Dakota? As you know these lakes seldom have much defined structure,
Amazing video and one beauty of a walleye ! That's an amazing idea adding some bling to a jigging rap . Would help in deep or stained water alot as well . I'd love trying it when snap jig / trolling the jigging raps as well , the extra flash would be so good at bringing them in from a distance as well, especially in low light periods
Brett…what is your favorite color and size. Please explain your pumping action. Saw a guy yesterday doing great with fast long pumping action in 18 foot of water. Any suggestions?
If I had to choose ONE for everything, it would be a #7 in the “glow yellow perch" color. Btw here’s a video I did with a bazillion Jigging Rap tips - sort of a rapid fire deal: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ksvvs_RIpts.html
just imagine if you lived where they don't have walleye's and do NOT stock them. that's MAINE ! i'd have to drive to Vermont. I have never even caught a walleye. so i'm sad about this. -RAV
