I can say the same for certain soundtracks in _The Thousand-Year Door_ , but that's what I love about it.

Lmao, This track is also almost a 1:1 recreation of the original. The only major differences involve the narrow hallway after the anti-grav section being removed. The track is the same layout as the OG with added verticality, visuals, etc. The SNES tracks being "bad" is an overexaggeration from this fandom seeing as how, SNES Donut Plains 3 and SNES Rainbow Road retain their levels of difficulty going into 200cc. Those 90 degree turns are no joke in 200cc.

@@rhapsodyrascal4698 The track outline is nearly a 1-to-1, not the track itself. Mario Circuit 3 is a prime example of the 1-to-1 thing where its exactly how it not only looked but played on the SNES except now in actual 3D. No new jumps, no new bumps, no new quirks or changes, nothing. Its exactly the same in every single way, shape, and form. That this track has the added verticality, antigravity, extra jumps, etc. is EXACTLY why its not a 1-to-1.

@GameAW1 SNES Mario Circuit 3 may be a 1:1 of the OG track, but honestly, it's okay. I love the simplicity of that track as it adds a layer of balance with some of the more dynamic tracks in the game. It's kind of unfair to compare it to say Donut Plains 3 and Bowser Castle 3 when both those tracks have a little more going for them given that Donut Plains 3 has the hairpin turns, the broken bridge, and the muddy terrain. Bowser Castle 3 is the MOST dynamic track by SNES standards as it takes place inside Bowser's Castle, so it's a bit more sensible to give it the full-scale 3D treatment rather than make it an exact recreation. Just because a track has verticality doesn't automatically mean it's a "good" track by any means. *staring at 3DS DK Jungle, 3DS Music Park, and 3DS Piranha Plant Slide* EDIT: GBA Sky Garden is another example of what I mentioned.

@@rhapsodyrascal4698 Dude, all four of those I would unironically consider great tracks. They have a lot of exciting activity going on and they all feel alive, ESPECIALLY Music Park which may well be one of my favorite tracks in the entire franchise, and trust me, I'm not even close to alone on that. Verticality is a HUGE factor in a track being good, and Mario Circuit 3 is only good for SNES standards, but these retro tracks are not supposed to be the old standards, they are meant to remix older tracks to today's standards. The fact that Mario Circuit 3 didn't have much going for it nowadays is all the more reason why they should have done more with it. The SNES and GBA tracks have bar none THE most potential for remixing than any other track in the franchise. To not do so is frankly insulting.

I see a lot of comments like this and they dont make any sense. Yes haha mario kids game i get it but these soundtracks have had notouriously catchy melodies for years. why would they not try to go hard on the composition. Everyone that does this bit doesnt understand video game music.

Wii’s and 8’s are definitely at the top, but this is really good

For real. The Bowser's Castle from the earlier cups doesn't go as hard as this one. This one has that sense of dread and ominous vibe to it, like you're literally fighting a badass king or god. Edit: intense moments in Mario games need to happen more often.
