I found a workaround for that actually. I had to softmod my ps2 for it to work but it was worth it. I found a working prototype of the American release on an emulator. The music is a bit wonky and not all of the text is translated, but otherwise, no complaints.
@@thomasstaples2106As far as I know, the American version was never released to any capacity and is still believed to be lost. You may have came across a modded version of the Japanese version that sought to try translating the game.
I know that it's been a year since you said that but, there is another game where Godzilla uses his jaws as a weapon, that game being Godzilla domination for the gameboy advance.
PC engine to be exact. A system us western hemisphereians call the turbo duo. It is titled godzilla bakutou retsuden. It is the first game (93). Kaijuu daikessen is the sequel (94)
It would probably be in this months nintendo switch online snes game update because all they are doing is adding random games so I see why not add this
So what you're basically saying is that you'd pay for a ROM you can easily download in 5 seconds from the internet? Dude, just jailbreak the console and put a SNES emulator in it, it's not that hard and you can install all the games you want.
I know that, but you called it "Altorgon", which has NEVER been its name. And if you want to get technical, the name in this game is "Kaitei Gunkan", which is the name of the original movie (meaning "Undersea Battleship/Warship"). According to Toho Kingdom, it's also called Gohten/Gouten in the game, but I didn't see that in the video.
I know this is literally a decade old video, but how did he get the grabs to work? I can never follow through with them. Edit: for those who want to know, you hit the grab button, and if your kaiju successfully grabs the other kaiju, input a command input (right to down, up to left to down to right, etc.), and then hit the grab button again. If you're being grabbed and want to get out, press any 4 buttons to break out of it.
Same!! It's so gosh darn frustrating. A fan created a digital manual. Google "Godzilla Kaiju Daikessen moves" and you'll see a gamefaqs.gamespot article from 2005. Even after reading that, I STILL have trouble with some of the moves. 😅. I wish you good luck!
@@MultiMarvelGeek Holy shit, okay, I'm back, and it's not that bad. You hit the grab button to start the grab, and once you have successfully grabbed, you input the direction (down-forward or up-back-down-forward) and hit the button again. Most of the time, I just spin my analog stick counter-clockwise if I'm on the left and spam the grab button, and vise-verse for the right.
Where did you guys find the rom to make this game work? I am trying to play it in my Snes Mini. I cant seem to get it working. I am trying to use Mame 2003 to get it to run. All I got was a rom that booted up but glitched out. The usual I get is just a black screen. There isn't much on this game in regards to making it work so literally any help you can give is super helpful!
When even a pirate SNES collection for PS2 can give you this awesome game when the American SNES official game catalogue doesn't... (Yep, that happened in my case. The first time I've ever known about this game, without even knowing how to play (controller adaptation issues). And I liked it! (Yep, I'm a kaiju fan))
The Super X, REALLY? THAT'S the secret boss, I mean it's pretty silly and kinda cool to see it but still the fucking flying submarine with a drill is the secret boss? Well as an easter egg it is pretty damn cool, I'll give Alfa that. Great game ScHlAuChi!
No, the game you are referring to is the PC Engine/ Turbografx 16 Godzilla game that has exactly what you stated. This is just the arcade version that was a Japan Exclusive. Sorry for the late response I am a guy 8 years into the future X"D
Mmm game looking good, I wonder why this flew under my radar for so long until someone started making a fan made sequel ala TMNT x Justice league turbo in IKEMAN Go
Umm, okay? Dude it's been awhile since I've seen a Godzilla film and 5 months ago since I made that comment, I don't really care. :p But you are right about that.
It's the Godzilla tower. In Godzilla vs. gigan, aliens built a tower that looks Godzilla and shot lazer beams at Godzilla at one point to kill Godzilla.
