I felt like this song had a potential to be remixed, I couldn't find any remixes of this one particular track so I decided to attempt at one, I based the starting percussion on Danillo Roxette's remastered version of the original song to which you can listen here:

The main beat line sounded very 90s house, which made me replace it with handclaps along with a minor tom to accompany it, wanted to say it here, the bassline and conga/bongo instrument usage strongly reminded me of Sonic 3's Launch Base Zone.
Since I'm still new to music remixing, I didn't actually rewrite the song from ground up, but instead I used a SPC to Midi program which allowed me to convert the original song into a usable midi, which unfortunately can't be read through audio creation and editing software such as FL Studio or LMMS (which I'm using)
I had to split the midi files by each instrument and use them one by one with XMPlayer to get the individual instruments exported using various soundfonts and Audacity for audio editing.
I tried converting the midi files to type 1 and splitting their channels but it still didn't work, though it depends on the game.
I'm planning to place the individual midi files into a single zip file, so you can download them and use them on your own remixes and perhaps fix them so they are usable in professional audio programs.
The original composition was done by Neil Biggin.

Ha! A nice cover version. Sounds much better with real instruments instead of the SNES samples. The percussion especially. You managed to get the bass sound perfectly too. Did you rip the midi somehow, or cover it by ear? The bell sound is identical but richer. Bravo.

I'm really surprised to see you here 😅 Thanks a lot for the feedback, I'm speechless to hear such from the original composer, for the rearranging,, I've managed to rip a midi file using a specific program, which converts the SNES music format to a usable midi, unfortunately this has its limitations, but I liked the final result though I think it can be improved in some ways. It was mostly a matter of finding the right instruments, improving some, while keeping the original style in others, the bell sound was fun to work with but I ultimately decided to maintain the original sound source in order to not strive away too much from the original. I would love to listen to a 90s electronic scene style remix of this one song for example, I'm still a beginner in music creation/remixing but I would really love to cover this one song in TG 3000 and Zool 2 (Mount Ices) completely by ear in the future and leave the midi for open usage, for now I don't have any physical composing instruments/devices.

@@midnightfox5234 That's really cool there being a midi rip like that. Not sure if I still have the original midi files. I'll take a look to see what I have on old discs, I'm curious. I would like to have a go at remaking it myself, with updated sounds, be so much easier with the midi file! It's amazing the difference even a bit of EQ or reverb will do. I'm currently playing around with different mastering options... and even with the same song it can be astounding. I'm about to release the TG3000 originals on Spotify etc. So they need some kind of mastering before they go out. For a start there's a very typical high end stripe that needs to come off somehow. Mount Ices was so sound dependent, it's really based on the chord samples and stabs that I triggered to create it. I listened to it again recently and I don't know where I would start trying to recreate that one. Bulb was easier, but my new version is radically different anyway. I'm using Reason+, which includes everything you'd ever need to $20 a month, not possible for everybody but definitely a fantastic option if you have the means. I've been thinking along these lines... I can either watch with Netflix, or take part with Reason, so I'm dropping Netflix and going with Reason+ to update my older copy. Cheers!

@@neilbiggin It's an amazing and intergalactic soundtrack. Top Gear 3000 songs are quite instrumental with a lot of electronic footprint from the 80'S with many synthesizer effects. It's vaporwave, synthwave.
